A variety of geophysical approaches have been used in this investigation of individual underground test sites and regional studies covering large parts of the Nevada Test Site. The objectives have ranged from sonic velocity determinations for major rock types over large areas to determination of specific geologic contacts at individual test sites. Four basic geophysical methods were used: seismic, electrical, aeromagnetic, and gravimetric studies.
