Hindu Vedic marriage ceremony is carried out in the presence of Yojaka Agni - the spiritual connector between the Bride and the Groom in the presence of the Priest and Parents. The Gods are invoked and invited to be present at this sacred ceremony. The Bride and the Groom promise to become equal partner in life, in presence of them.
