Their children called them Papa and Mama, and some of the antics of those nine boys are described in the book. The people in their church also called them Papa and Mama, and they came to be known as Papa and Mama to thousands of people. Most of these people met them in their home in Staunton, Virginia, where they were inspired by the Knopps’ family life, their love for others, their humility, and their faith.
