A true WWII account of twin brother fighter pilots Delbert and Delmer Forsberg, who along with their crews were shot down behind enemy lines while flying B-24 Liberator Bombers. With the help of Yugoslavian Partisans, Delbert and his crew would make a perilous escape hiking rugged mountains at night and remain hidden during the day, at times being so close to the enemy he could have touched them. Delmer and all but one of his crew would be captured by the Germans becoming Prisoners of War and forcibly marched from Stalag to Stalag often in below freezing conditions. At one point, Hitler would give orders for the prisoners to be marched to their final destination in dead of winter without benefit of shoes or belts to prevent their escape. Always on the verge of starvation, Delmer tells about daily survival inside prison camps and how innovative humans can be in such dire circumstances. Neither twin would know the fate of the other until after the war ended.

Although never a winner, Wells was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature a total of four times. Contents include: "Chapter I. Important Capture", "Chapter II. The Prisoner", "Chapter III. Twin-Destinies", "Chapter IV. Coups d'État", "Chapter V. The Tangle", and "Chapter VI. Pattern of a Horoscope". Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive. The Two Destinies

The story of two people who begin to love each other as boy and girl. Some mysterious agency seems to be at work, all through the story, in their behalf; for though apparently separated as children forever, they are brought together again by a most singular chain of circumstances. Apparitions and other strange hallucinations abound in the work. Altogether a pleasantly weird and odd story, and very much different from Wilkie Collins' other novels.

Modern atheism is a further act in the ancient drama of Prometheus vs Zeus. This book argues that the antagonism is false, as proved by the "irony": in which atheism turns into antitheism, transferring divine qualities to Humanity. The drama is framed by the "classicla dilemma," a conflict of wills: Tyrant and Rebel. The Unbinding of Prometheus is traced through Western history, to the Enlightenment "death of God," both speculative (Hegel) and practical (Marx). Finally, four types of "idols" are examined, in which Prometheus is rebound: Freud's Oedipus, Nietzsche's Dionysus, Camus' Sisyphus and Sartre's Orestes. The revision of both theism and atheism demands re-casting Zeus and Prometheus, breaking the impasse of heteronomy/autonomy and omnipotence/free will. Only thus may we affirm Humanity without denying God.
