Can Do Better tells the story of David Chaplin's life from a shy and unpromising schoolboy, through his time of devoted service as the head teacher of a country prep school and concluding with his adventures working with children in Rwanda, work which earned him an OBE for services to the country. This elegantly written and inspiring story is packed full of amusing, witty and insightful anecdotes, while at the same time displaying how, with hard work and perseverance, early influences and challenges in life need not define the course of a person's career or what they can achieve for themselves and others.
