PROF. B.P. MAHESH CHANDRA GURU (b.1957) was born at Gundlupet, Karnataka in a family with the background of agriculture and government service. He obtained Master’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication (1980) from the University of Mysore and PhD in Development Communication (1997) from Mangalore University.
