In the absence of our President the chair was occupied by E. B. Dawson, Esq, of Lancaster. The Rev. D. Macfadyen, m.a., of Highgate, read a paper on The Apostolic Labours of Captain j'onathan Scott, for which a hearty vote of thanks was tendered, and Mr. Macfadyen was requested to place the paper in the Secretary's hands for publication.
