"In God's House! Beautiful! Let's Go!, Jane Ann Derr has told us more than we have a right to ask. She has let us into the world of her marriage, her family, her work, her loss, her fears, and her happiness. She has let us into her faith in God and her devotion to Jesus Christ. She has let us into her husband's illness and death, and into the grief and resolve of her life as the one who survived. But her real interest is what she has seen of the goodness and mercy of God." -Stephen E. Broyles, author of The Wind that Destroys and Heals. "I highly recommend this book, especially for those who are called upon to pass through this valley of shadows." -Neil R. Lightfoot, Distinguished Professor Emeritus, Abilene Christian University "For Harold and Jane Ann, the journey has been exceedingly fruitful. I predict that as you read this book, you will cry, you will laugh, and you will be encouraged. At least, that's what happened when I read it." -Gary Chapman, author of The Five Love Languages and Love as a Way of Life. Jane Ann Derr is also the author of Trailblazing with God, describing her family's missionary experiences in Ghana, West Africa. She lives in Georgia. You may write her at [email protected]. Her books are also available for download on most eReader platforms.

"Choosing to be a Trailblazer will shape your life with adventure. . . . Follow the path that Micah has created for you." - Annie F. Downs, New York Times bestselling author of That Sounds Fun Are you ready to live a life like no one else? We all want our lives to count for something. We desperately want to know if we matter, what our purpose is, and if it's ok to chase a dream bigger than ourselves. In Trailblazers, using biblical characters and his own life experiences, pastor Micah E. Davis shows how a life that is built on a solid foundation of faith can lead us to blaze a new trail . . . a unique one God has purposed for us. And the best part is you don't have to wait for anyone else--you can start right now! In his debut book, Micah takes us on a fresh, honest, and bold journey, exploring such questions as: What is my purpose and how do I know it's what God wants for me? What do I need to let go of to pursue the calling God has placed on my life? Does God have more in store for me than this? Am I really allowed to go after it? Can God use a flawed and broken person like me to impact the Kingdom? And more! At the heart of a Trailblazer lies a supernatural courage, strength, and faith to go first. Come alongside Micah to discover what it truly means to live out the way of a Trailblazer and to live a life that matters.

This is the first of a four-volume groundbreaking study of Christological origins. The fruit of twenty years research, Jesus Monotheism lays out a new paradigm that goes beyond the now widely held view that Paul and others held to an unprecedented "Christological monotheism." There was already, in Second Temple Judaism and in the Bible, a kind of "christological monotheism." But it is first with Jesus and his followers that a human figure is included in the identity of the one God as a fully divine person. Volume 1 lays out the arguments of an emerging consensus, championed by Larry Hurtado and Richard Bauckham, that from its Jewish beginnings the Christian community had a high Christology and worshipped Jesus as a divine figure. New data is adduced to support that case. But there are weaknesses in the emerging consensus. For example, it underplays the incarnation and does not convincingly explain what caused the earliest Christology. The recent study of Adam traditions, the findings of Enoch literature specialists, and of those who have explored a Jewish and Christian debt to Greco-Roman Ruler Cult traditions, all point towards a fresh approach to both the origins and shape of the earliest divine Christology.

The journey for many first-century believers was difficult because they had not fully grasped the magnitude of this new covenant relationship with Jesus Christ. The book of Hebrews was written for these new believers to help them understand that Jesus is their High Priest and that he and he alone can strengthen them for the journey of life. Jeff Snell has written a faith-building study from the book of Hebrews to remind us that Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews affirms that Jesus is able to strengthen us for the journey through this life and throughout eternity. Book jacket.

Shame is everywhere. Whether it's related to relationships, body image, work difficulties, or a secret sin, we all experience shame at some point in our lives. While shame can manifest itself in different ways—fear, regret, and anger—it ultimately points us to our most fundamental need as human beings: redemption. Shame never disappears in solitude, and Heather Davis Nelson invites us to not only be healed of our own shame but also be a part of healing for others. She shines the life-giving light of the gospel on the things that leave us feeling worthless and rejected, giving us courage us to walk out of shame's shadows and offering hope for our bondage to brokenness. Through the gospel, we discover the only real and lasting antidote to shame: exchanging our shame for the righteousness of Christ alongside others on this same journey.

Experience True Liberation by Seeing Your Beauty, Femininity, and Freedom From Heavens Point of View Has Christianity kept women trapped in the stone age? In many ways, yes; but this is not by Gods design. As society offers women opportunities to explore outer-space and govern nations, the church often stifles and limits them. The tide is changing, though. Amber Picotas Gods Feminist Movement is a new covenant manifesto calling women to embrace their true identity in Christ and fulfill their destiny as revolutionaries who shape the course of history with the Kingdom of God. There is a powerful new feminist movement emerging in the body of Christ. Its not politically driven and its not being championed by an uprising of angry man-haters. Based on an intense study of Scripture, factoring in historical and contextual hermeneutics and original languages, Picota shares a practical, non-legalistic, and non-traditional (yet deeply Biblical) look at topics that women commonly face, such as: Dating and Modesty Female Leaders in the Church Submission in Marriage Beauty and Self-Image Celebrate the power and beauty of womanhood. God has given you permission to change the worldby being you! Break off religious traditions that keep women trapped in old school legalism and move beyond Christian clichs that minimize a womans true position in Christ!
