A breakthrough-tithing model that the devil and religious tradition have tried to COVER-UP until NOW! Who is this powerful book designed to REACH? Anybody who has ever said, "help; my tithe is not working for me!" Anybody who has ever asked the question, "how can I tithe from an inspired heart instead of tithing from a regulated heart?" Anybody who uses the "Malachi 3:8-12 pattern of tithing!" Anybody who has ever desired to know how Abraham, Isaac and Jacob "tithed and why they tithed!" Anybody who has ever asked the question, "Is tithing for today?" Anybody who has "lost the Joy of tithing!" Tracey L. Easley spent decades tithing, sometimes faithfully and sometimes not. After reaching an age of spiritual maturity, he gave tithes even when he needed the money to pay his rent. When he heard leaders in the congregation urging members to give more, it occurred to him that others must be struggling to give their share to the church. He heard comments from the pulpit like: • Don’t you want God to bless you? • You’ll be cursed if you don’t tithe. • Will a man rob God? These comments gave him pause, and he felt sorry for those who were struggling. He asked himself whether or not they wanted to be blessed. Seeking clarity, he went to the Lord Jesus in prayer and asked Him, “Lord, why are your people having so much trouble tithing?” Right away, the Lord responded to the author in an audible voice: “My people love to be in bondage to the law.” In this book, the author shares what the Lord meant by those words, what the Bible tells us about tithing, why Melchizedek is not God’s priest, and why tithing was never enforceable in the New Testament church.

Most of us are regular people who have good days and bad days. Our lives are radically ordinary and unexciting. That means they're the kind of lives God gets excited about. While the world worships beauty and power and wealth, God hides his glory in the simple, the mundane, the foolish, working in unawesome people, things, and places. In our day of celebrity worship and online posturing, this is a refreshing, even transformative way of understanding God and our place in his creation. It urges us to treasure a life of simplicity, to love those whom the world passes by, to work for God's glory rather than our own. And it demonstrates that God has always been the Lord of the cross--a Savior who hides his grace in unattractive, inglorious places.Your God Is Too Glorious reminds readers that while a quiet life may look unimpressive to the world, it's the regular, everyday people that God tends to use to do his most important work.

In this life-changing book, Dr. Francis Myles introduces the reader to one of the most powerful spiritual technologies in all of creation. God instituted this technology to govern the spiritual, social and nancial heirs of Kingdom citizens during their pilgrimage here on earth. At the heart of all informed spiritual or scientific research is a body of questions that fuel the whole investigation. In the spirit of informed investigation, this book will seek to answer the following questions... Why are questions of regret so universal and common to the human experience? Is there a diabolical and calculated conspiracy behind many of the tears of regret that are common to the human experience? If God is good and all-powerful, why does He allow the evil and the pain of regret to be visited upon innocent people? Why do most people blame God for the pain in their lives that is a direct consequence of their actions? Why are these stories of disaster and regret concentrated in the Marketplace? Why do Kingdom entrepreneurs lose millions of dollars in bad business deals? Is there a "fail-proof" technology for "intercepting" much of the evil that is visited upon humans before it actually happens? This book also contains cases studies from the Bible and present day people that are designed to illustrate the dire need for a "fail-proof spiritual technology" for "intercepting" demonically engineered diabolical plans and ploys to inject suffering, loss and injury in the human experience; especially in the Marketplace.

The biblical figure Melchizedek appears just twice in the Hebrew Bible, and once more in the Christian New Testament. Cited as both the king of Shalem-understood by most scholars to be Jerusalem-and as an eternal priest without ancestry, Melchizedek's appearances become textual justification for tithing to the Levitical priests in Jerusalem and for the priesthood of Jesus Christ himself. But what if the text was manipulated? Robert R. Cargill explores the Hebrew and Greek texts concerning Melchizedek's encounter with Abraham in Genesis as a basis to unravel the biblical mystery of this character's origins. The textual evidence that Cargill presents shows that Melchizedek was originally known as the king of Sodom and that the later traditions about Sodom forced biblical scribes to invent a new location, Shalem, for Melchizedek's priesthood and reign. Cargill also identifies minor, strategic changes to the Hebrew Bible and the Samaritan Pentateuch that demonstrate an evolving, polemical, sectarian discourse between Jews and Samaritans competing for the superiority of their respective temples and holy mountains. The resulting literary evidence was used as the ideological motivation for identifying Shalem with Jerusalem in the Second Temple Jewish tradition. A brief study with far-reaching implications, Melchizedek, King of Sodom reopens discussion of not only this unusual character, but also the origins of both the priesthood of Christ and the role of early Israelite priest-kings.

Following a thorough examination of every biblical text on tithing, Dr. Kelly concludes that the church would be best served spiritually by believing and applying better New Testament principles of giving. After discussing sound biblical reasons for Christians to replace tithing, he presents God's better principles of grace. Doctrines such as the New Testament concept of law and covenant and the priesthood of believers are presented as they affect tithing. Following several chapters which discuss disputed texts relating to pastoral support, this book traces the early development of church support as found in the Church Fathers before Nicea. This book leaves no question or objection about tithing unanswered. It is a "must read" for any serious Bible student. There is a wealth of other doctrinal insights to be gained as one goes through the Bible in search of the truth about tithing.

Lots of churches around the world are struggling to survive. Maybe instead they should follow Jesus into death so that they can rise again. I suggest several things that churches can do to follow Jesus into the world. These ways allow us to BE the church rather than just attend church.

A profound exploration of how to hold on to hope when our unchanging faith collides with a changing culture, from two respected Christian storytellers and thought leaders. “Offers neither spin control nor image maintenance for the evangelical tribe, but genuine hope.”—Russell Moore, president of ERLC As the pressures of health warnings, economic turmoil, and partisan politics continue to rise, the influence of gospel-focused Christians seems to be waning. In the public square and popular opinion, we are losing our voice right when it’s needed most for Christ’s glory and the common good. But there’s another story unfolding too—if you know where to look. In Gospelbound, Collin Hansen and Sarah Eekhoff Zylstra counter these growing fears with a robust message of resolute hope for anyone hungry for good news. Join them in exploring profound stories of Christians who are quietly changing the world in the name of Jesus—from the wild world of digital media to the stories of ancient saints and unsung contemporary activists on the frontiers of justice and mercy. Discover how, in these dark times, the light of Jesus shines even brighter. You haven’t heard the whole story. And that’s good news.
