A compulsive overachiever, Madeline lives by the credo that easy is synonymous with mediocre—which is why, at forty-nine, she’s a senior vice president at a prominent bank, frantically adheres to a five-step nightly face cream regimen, and panics anytime she’s a foot away from her phone. Madeline works alongside her best friend, Emma—a master juggler of her own career, marriage, and motherhood to a fourteen-year-old daughter who speaks only in baffling acronyms. The path ahead for both women is brimming with opportunity. There’s only one problem: Madeline is miserable. Seeking purpose in her life while trying to unravel the source of habits she wants to change, Madeline reluctantly agrees to try yoga, meditation, and other wacky suggestions her new-agey therapist tosses her way. She feels as if she’s risking everything—but in doing so, she just might unlock a world more fulfilling than she ever could have imagined.

2022 NATIONAL BOOK AWARD FINALIST ONE OF THE LOS ANGELES TIMES' TOP 5 FICTION BOOKS OF THE YEAR ONE OF TIME AND SLATE'S TOP 10 BOOKS OF THE YEAR Named one of the BEST BOOKS OF 2022 by NPR, Vogue, Vulture, BuzzFeed, Harper's Bazaar, and more “One of the buzziest, most human novels of the year…breathless, dizzying, and completely beautiful.” —Vogue “Dazzling and wholly original...[written] with such mordant wit, insight, and specificity, it feels like watching a new literary star being born in real time.” —Entertainment Weekly From a brilliant new voice comes an electrifying novel of a young immigrant building a life for herself—a warm, dazzling, and profound saga of queer love, friendship, work, and precarity in twenty-first century America Graduating into the long maw of an American recession, Sneha is one of the fortunate ones. She’s moved to Milwaukee for an entry-level corporate job that, grueling as it may be, is the key that unlocks every door: she can pick up the tab at dinner with her new friend Tig, get her college buddy Thom hired alongside her, and send money to her parents back in India. She begins dating women—soon developing a burning crush on Marina, a beguiling and beautiful dancer who always seems just out of reach. But before long, trouble arrives. Painful secrets rear their heads; jobs go off the rails; evictions loom. Sneha struggles to be truly close and open with anybody, even as her friendships deepen, even as she throws herself headlong into a dizzying romance with Marina. It’s then that Tig begins to draw up a radical solution to their problems, hoping to save them all. A beautiful and capacious novel rendered in singular, unforgettable prose, All This Could Be Different is a wise, tender, and riveting group portrait of young people forging love and community amidst struggle, and a moving story of one immigrant’s journey to make her home in the world.

Have you ever wondered what the future holds for the United States and also for Israel? Surely a righteous God will not allow this country to continue in the downward spiral that is prevalent now. The bible gives a good foretelling of the events that await both of these countries. But there are so many different verses to contend with and they are scattered all through the bible. Also, there are so many different speakers who give an intelligent guess of what these events predict? I just don't understand. They all cannot be correct. Question, if THE WHOLE HOUSE OF ISRAEL will return, how will the people know that they are members? How will Israel feed the whole world? Will the sicknesses that the whole world is experiencing at this time ever be cured? How will the false messiah fool so many people into accepting him as a god? In 1953, I started listening to different preacher on the radio. Those messages on Israel seemed to have more guessing of future events than fact. The messages also changed with the preacher. In 1986, I started reading the bible and making notes of the verses that referred to Israel in the latter days. I ended up with ten pages front and back of scripture verses. I bought my first computer with an orange screen and started compiling and writing. In 1993, I sent a copy to a publisher but never heard anything back. My time for studying ceased due to my outside workload. My house burned in 2001 with a complete loss of everything including my orange computer. I started reading and compiling notes again. The book that you are reading is the end results of the four following years.

From the bright lights of London’s Holland Park into the power cuts and very rural life of Lagos state in Nigeria, all in the blink of an eye. This is the true story of a family torn apart by International Parental Child Abduction. In September 1973, Yemi was just seven years old when he and his younger sister were taken away from England by their dad without their mum’s knowledge or consent. They lived and grew up in Nigeria for over fourteen years, where the only communication they had with their mum was by letters. Without social media, computers or mobile phones, how does a mother track down her missing children? How do the children adapt to the sudden change of lifestyle? This is the story of the events through the eyes of that seven-year-old child, from the moment he realised he was in a different country. Yemi relates the stark change of culture, the new family and the voyage of self-discovery. The book covers his roller-coaster young life of apprehensions and ecstasy, his rebellions, and his loves. It follows his anger as he grew from boy to teenager and his eventual reconciliation with himself and his parents. What kind of man would that boy grow up to be? Time Will Tell.
