William Gregg (b. 1801) arrived at Philadelphia from Belfast, Ireland aboard the brig "Ceres" on Sept. 20, 1817. He lived in Strasburg Twp. (now Paradise), Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania. He married Grace Amelia Long (b. 1796). They had six children. William Gregg was a shoemaker according to Strasburg Twp. tax records. Descendants live in Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
