This engaging read encourages deep reflection and active response; exploring the deep Biblical meaning of the 50 titles of Mary in the Litany of Loreto; discovering their symbolic meaning and relevance in our lives, so we grow closer to God. Reading this will help you grow into a closer relationship with Jesus, increase in Biblical knowledge as well as develop in understanding and appreciation of his Mother Mary, through focusing on her titles. We discover that Mary points us to Jesus, saying at the wedding at Cana ‘do whatever he tells you’ (John 2:5). There is no other book that explores all these titles of Mary.

This book offers a systematic, chronological analysis of the role played by the human senses in experiencing pilgrimage and sacred places, past and present. It thus addresses two major gaps in the existing literature, by providing a broad historical narrative against which patterns of continuity and change can be more meaningfully discussed, and focusing on the central, but curiously neglected, area of the core dynamics of pilgrim experience. Bringing together the still-developing fields of Pilgrimage Studies and Sensory Studies in a historically framed conversation, this interdisciplinary study traces the dynamics of pilgrimage and engagement with holy places from the beginnings of the Judaeo-Christian tradition to the resurgence of interest evident in twenty-first century England. Perspectives from a wide range of disciplines, from history to neuroscience, are used to examine themes including sacred sites in the Bible and Early Church; pilgrimage and holy places in early and later medieval England; the impact of the English Reformation; revival of pilgrimage and sacred places during the nineteenth and twentieth Centuries; and the emergence of modern place-centred, popular 'spirituality'. Addressing the resurgence of pilgrimage and its persistent link to the attachment of meaning to place, this book will be a key reference for scholars of Pilgrimage Studies, History of Religion, Religious Studies, Sensory Studies, Medieval Studies, and Early Modern Studies.

A Walsingham Rosary is a book of Bible readings, meditations and prayers based on each of the mysteries of the Rosary 20 in all - with each being set specifically at a different place in the vicinity of the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham. It comes complete with an illustrated guide to praying the Rosary and all the Bible readings and prayers are printed out in full. Line drawings, photographs, maps, directions, and a short description of each site will guide pilgrims round all the places of significance in and around Walsingham. It includes visits to the Anglican, Roman Catholic and Orthodox shrines and the Methodist chapel and so is wholly ecumenical. However, this is first and foremost a book of rosary prayers that can be said anywhere. First published locally in 2000, the Luminous Mysteries have since been added to the Rosary, so the text is expanded and includes visits to further five sites and updated photographs.

Chapters of Gold is a book of meditations on the life of Our Lady for modern busy people today. The short chapters are based on an episode in the life of Our Lady, the Annunciation, The Birth of Christ, the Finding of Christ in the Temple right through to the witness to the Resurrection of Christ. The chapters consist of a short narrative and meditation and are each illustrated with beautiful four colour plates based on the mosaics from the Lady Chapel at Westminster Cathedral. These have been specially photographed for this book. A preface by Archbishop Rowan Williams demonstrates the growing devotion to Our Lady in non-Catholic Western traditions and is itself an ecumenical gesture of some significance. At the end of the book, the author has gathered a collection of prayers and devotions to Our Lady, drawing from all Christian traditions. Devotion to Our Lady in the Eastern Orthodox tradition is every bit as strong as in the Roman Catholic Church (maybe even stronger) and Our Lady plays a growing part in the devotional lives of Anglicans. This is a book for people of all Christian traditions. Both Cardinal Murphy O'Connor and Archbishop Gregorios have written endorsements for the book.
