A magnificently illustrated Chinese folklore tale about a tigress, a seer, a King, and the prince, who must leave his family and learn the ways of the tigers so that the war between man and animal can end. Deep in the Great Forest, a tigress is mourning the death of her tiger babies who have been killed by hunters. Seeking revenge, she attacks the villages, destroying houses and prompting the king to gather his army. But a seer named Lao Lao warns the king that if he angers the tigress further she will destroy the kingdom. Lao Lao counsels the king to give his own son to the tigress and promises that no harm will come to the boy. The next morning, the king brings the prince to the edge of the Great Forest and tells him, “Now you must go on alone.” To end the war between man and animal, the prince must forget his human ways and begin to learn what tigers know. The Tiger Prince was inspired by The Tigress, a late Shang dynasty bronze vessel in the Cernuschi Museum in Paris depicting a scene from the Chinese folktale of a baby raised by a tigress.

About the Book THE BOOK IS A PRIMER TO THE INCREDIBLE DIVERSITY OF WILDLIFE IN INDIA. Veera, the old tiger king of Mahovann, is planning to retire from the throne of Mahovann. But before that he needs to resolve an unpleasant situation that has arisen from the arrival of some uninvited wolves at the edge of his kingdom. What follows is an unfortunate episode that leads to Veera sending his trusted friend and lieutenant Bhairav to prison. Bhairav's son, the mighty Taranath, who believes injustice has been meted, seeks revenge. Under the guidance of Daaga the fox, Taranath imprisons Veera's son Ustaad and sends the prince's mate Sultana and their cubs into exile. Daaga and Taranath scheme to eliminate the entire tiger family. Do they succeed? Will Ustaad break free? Who will deliver the creatures of the great forest from the dark age that has come upon them? The Tiger, the Bear and the Battle for Mahovana is a story about self-belief and facing up to insurmountable odds. Set in the animal kingdom, it is also as much a primer to India's incredible wildlife diversity as it is a riveting tale about the choices we make and the true meaning of justice.

It may be true that no athlete is bigger than the game, but one thing is certain: Tiger Woods is golf. From dominating the junior ranks in his boyhood, to becoming the first player in history to hold four major championship trophies at once—the Masters, U.S. Open, British Open, and PGA—it has been his mental game that fuels his fire. For the first time ever, John Andrisani explores the mind and its expansive application to golf, using Tiger Woods as the ultimate role model. Think Like Tiger shows how the champion’s techniques can be applied to anyone’s game. Learn how to: • Use the power of concentration to let nothing disturb you • Meditate to alleviate mental stress and relax muscles • Use your imagination when planning shots • Practice shots that will stimulate your mind • Develop your own system for inducing self-confidence “I’m honored to say that I was one of the official members of ‘Team Tiger’. This latest book of Andrisani’s contains a great deal of insightful information about the mental game of Tiger Woods…You will learn to make the mental side of golf a priority.
