Excerpt from The Tenth General Catalogue of the Psi Upsilon Fraternity Names of persons belonging successively to two Chapters are. Inserted in the chapter of original jurisdiction with'cross reference to the Chapters of final membership, where their records are given. Graduates of Colleges where there are chapters, initiated in some other institution, are retained in the chapters of final membership, although mentioned in the roll of their alma mafer. Those separated from the class lists by a dash represent persons never attached to the college at which they attained chapter membership. The asterisk precedes the names of the dead, and the dagger (t) follows the names of those who have not taken their first degree in the Departments of Arts or Science at the college where the chapter is located. All Christian names have been recorded in their baptismal forms, and names afterwards discarded are in brackets. Initial letters, followed by periods, are abbreviations of names not ascertainable, while the initial letters, not followed by periods, stand in the place of names, and are not abbreviations. The symbols have been copied from the catalogue of 1879, verified by the chapter editors and changed only when errors, were discovered. Several names will be noticed which have not been found in previous editions, and it is believed that the rolls-are now absolutely cornplete. This has been accomplished by a thorough search of the original records of the chapters, all of which have been at the disposal of the Editors.
