Successful career gal Kendall Haynes is tired of wishing on stars for a home and a family. Can God’s dreams for her be even better than her own? Is life about accomplishing plans . . . or wishes coming true . . . or something more? Dr. Kendall Haynes’s plans to have it all—a career, a husband, a family—are eluding her. Now that she’s thirty-six, she needs to stop wishing upon a star and face reality: Some dreams just never come true. Air Force pilot Griffin Walker prefers flying solo in the air and on the ground—until a dangerous choice ejects him from the cockpit. His life becomes even more complicated after the sudden death of his parents makes him the guardian of his sixteen-year-old brother. There’s no way his life will ever get back on course now. When their lives collide during a near tragedy, Kendall and Griffin must decide if they can embrace the unexpected changes God has waiting for them.

The Sky Is NOT the Limit is a collection of adventures that have taken us around the world. Each chapter is an individual story and can be read independently. Perhaps when Joan and I are old and gray we will sit together and read and re-live all these memories. The stories take you to the four corners of the world, on all seven continents, and the major cities of the world. At last count the number was sixty countries and counting. I am not too sure who else would be interested - perhaps one day our grandchildren and then one day their grandchildren. Young people who would be curious to know something about their ancestors and what life was like at the close of the 20th century and the dawn of the 21 century. Oh well, who knows. But it sure was fun writing about these travels. And a whole lot more exciting creating these memories with my soul-mate.

Meet Caroline Gray: divorcee and newly-single mother. Firmly closing the door on her acrimonious divorce, Caroline and son Ben have moved to trendy Frencham where they join Caroline's long-time best friends, Heather and Eva. Settling into their new life is easy, but nothing has prepared Caroline for the demands of motherhood at The Sycamore, the school the trio's beloved offspring attend. Forget classroom bullies, forget trips to the head's office, this is full-scale adult playground politics. This is battle with the mothers who won't take no for an answer -- the Playground Mafia. Amidst the four-wheel drives, Ben's complicated afterschool play-date schedule and her friends' perilous extra-marital affairs, Caroline tries to keep a low and very single profile. But it's not long before she too finds herself under the mafia's scandal-radar, and her life takes an unexpected turn ...

I feel puzzled and perplexed for decades with my feelings, thoughts and behavior. I’m beginning to piece myself back together and gain ground more rapidly these days. One step at a time in forward gear, but slow on the go emotionally each moment of every day. My awareness of self has become very keen since I’m beginning to accept my inward struggles and my understanding of myself through writing my memoir. The book is my first will and testament to my inward struggles. As you begin to read this book, you will see that the character is emotionally confused, depleted, imploded and plain old-fashioned lost. All my attempts to learn about myself, my feelings and my thoughts are sharply unveiled until I move forward in the end to more of a meaningful life! So from searching very deeply to becoming more realistic and logical, I hope my readers gain access to some helpful information as I did and continue to do, gaining more hope and more fullness of life! Until my next book…

When I was a child I tried a whole host of things and I always had the full support of my mother, Carmel Armstrong, and she told me that I could do anything that I put my mind to and I believed her and not only did I believe her, but I have also tried to pass this same message on to others as often as I could and especially to children because there's no greater gift that a human being can give to another than the gift of encouragement. And because of the wonderful and magnificent gift of encouragement, I am currently living my dream of being a published author and I have wanted this title ever since I watched my mother sit in front of her typewriter while filling the pages with words and in case you haven't guessed by now my mother was also a writer. The Playground is a gritty Gangster Novel that takes you on a journey through the lives of Sophia and David Bloom; mother and son who are forced to move to a Housing Project that's located on the Eastside of South Central Los Angeles after a family tragedy robs them of their financial well being. And their move takes place just before the rise of Crack Cocaine and before the decline of Heroin and it puts them in direct contact with dirty Cops, F.B.I. Agents, C.I.A. Operatives, Gangsters, Drug Dealers, White Supremacists, Thieving dope fiends of the worst kind, Revolutionaries or Domestic Terrorists if you prefer, and other shady representatives of the United States Government. But that's just the beginning because you see there's an unbelievable twist to the story that you won't believe. And I invite you to learn who Damu is and who Warlock is.

Do you remember the day you were told you were no longer a teenager, but ‘expected to be’ an adult? Kind of startling, wasn’t it…and paradoxically made you feel more like a ‘babe-in-the-woods’ than ever before! ‘Roots and Wings’ is an e-book about this transition we have all experienced. It can also be your new best friend if you have tweens and teens, who are growing faster than you can keep pace with! As parents, we use our own experiences as reference points… and they are generally outdated! ‘Roots and Wings’ is a bridge between the generations and holds time tested and trusted tenets about helping your children grow up without alienating them.

This book investigates the autobiographical writings of Barbara Jordan, Patricia Schroeder, Geraldine Ferraro, Elizabeth Dole, Wilma Mankiller, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Madeleine Albright, and Christine Todd Whitman. These eight women represent the diversity that permeates the cultural backgrounds, life adventures, and ideologies women bring to the political table. From differences in race, class, and geographic location to variations in personal and family experiences, religious beliefs, and political ideology, these women illustrate many of the divergent standpoints from which women craft their lives in the United States. Each chapter focuses on the autobiographical text as political discourse and, therefore, as an appropriate site for the rhetorical construction of a personal and civic self, situated within local and national political communities. This collection examines issues such as the intersection between the "politicization of the private and the personalization of the public" evident in the women's narratives; the description of U.S. politics that they provide in their writings; the ways in which their personal stories craft arguments about their political ideologies; the strategies these women leaders employ in navigating the gendered double-binds of politics; and the manner in which their discourse serves to encourage, instruct, and empower future women leaders. The analyses embody and explicate the political and rhetorical strategies these leaders employ in their efforts to act on their convictions, highlight the need for and reality of women's involvement in all levels of politics, and serve as an impetus and inspiration for scholars and activists alike.
