«Dear readers! This book gathers selected writings that allow you to get acquainted with my creative work. I will not list the contests and festivals on which some of the works from this book won prizes. I just want to briefly introduce you to them.“The Mysteries of the Shaman Stone” is an adventure story with elements of mysticism and love drama, interesting to readers of any gender and age. It tells a story of a visit of two Muscovites very famous in the world of literature and journalism to Ugryum-River, well-known to many Russians since childhood thanks to the eponymous feature movie, with the purpose of hunting. While there, they face unusual and mystical events that are semi-present in real life of the dwellers of taiga, in this case – the local Tofalar hunter Herman, who got his name in homage to cosmonaut Titov and who accompanies his guests on their bear hunting. However, by some quirk of fate, they get into adventures so wild and unusual, that you should read about them yourself...»

You'll learn how to: —Interpret and change your dreams —Heal yourself, your relationships, and the environment —Cast the shaman stones to foretell the future —Design and perform powerful rituals —Shapechange —Make vision quests to other realities And more.

"This fascinating case study focuses on shamanism and the healing practices of the Taman, a formerly tribal society indigenous to the interior of Borneo. The Taman typically associate illness with an encounter with spirits that both seduce and torment a person in dreams or waking life. Rather than use medicines to counter the effect of these discomforting visitors, the shamans - called baliens - use stones that are said to contain the convergence of wild spirits that have come into being during the initiation ceremony".--P. 209.

Shamanism is one of the world's oldest religions and is the practice of communicating with the natural and spiritual worlds through shamans, or medicine men. It may appeal to spiritual seekers who are disillusioned with traditional religions or New Age gurus because it offers a unique perspective, one based on experience rather than dogma and a celebration of the natural world and our place in it.

Kim Stanley Robinson, the New York Times bestselling author of science fiction masterworks such as the Mars trilogy and 2312, has, on many occasions, imagined our future. Now, in Shaman, he brings our past to life as never before. There is Thorn, a shaman himself. He lives to pass down his wisdom and his stories -- to teach those who would follow in his footsteps. There is Heather, the healer who, in many ways, holds the clan together. There is Elga, an outsider and the bringer of change. And then there is Loon, the next shaman, who is determined to find his own path. But in a world so treacherous, that journey is never simple -- and where it may lead is never certain. Shaman is a powerful, thrilling and heartbreaking story of one young man's journey into adulthood -- and an awe-inspiring vision of how we lived thirty thousand years ago.

An important new way of viewing the prehistoric art of the Americas, The Jaguar Within demonstrates that understanding a work of art’s connection with shamanic trance can lead to an appreciation of it as an extremely creative solution to the inherent challenge of giving material form to nonmaterial realities and states of being. Shamanism—the practice of entering a trance state to experience visions of a reality beyond the ordinary and to gain esoteric knowledge—has been an important part of life for indigenous societies throughout the Americas from prehistoric times until the present. Much has been written about shamanism in both scholarly and popular literature, but few authors have linked it to another significant visual realm—art. In this pioneering study, Rebecca R. Stone considers how deep familiarity with, and profound respect for, the extra-ordinary visionary experiences of shamanism profoundly affected the artistic output of indigenous cultures in Central and South America before the European invasions of the sixteenth century. Using ethnographic accounts of shamanic trance experiences, Stone defines a core set of trance vision characteristics, including enhanced senses; ego dissolution; bodily distortions; flying, spinning, and undulating sensations; synaesthesia; and physical transformation from the human self into animal and other states of being. Stone then traces these visionary characteristics in ancient artworks from Costa Rica and Peru. She makes a convincing case that these works, especially those of the Moche, depict shamans in a trance state or else convey the perceptual experience of visions by creating deliberately chaotic and distorted conglomerations of partial, inverted, and incoherent images.

The Power of Crystal Healing will focus primarily on practical application of stones as a source of healing for afflictions ranging from fatigue to high blood pressure. Uma Silbey, applying her 40 years of experience, presents proven crystal and stone techniques that work to heal the body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Step-by-step instructions for both the beginner and the advanced show how to use crystals to help heal a diverse array of physical ailments like the flu and colds, cancers, nerve and blood disorders, migraine headaches, exhaustion, and stress, as well as emotional concerns like anger and depression, shame and guilt, loss, heartbreak, and finding love. The use of crystals to help heal common mental issues, such as anxiety and narcissism, OCD, suicidal ideation, PTSD, abusive behaviors, and self-harm, is also included. Though the use of crystals themselves can lead to a vastly expanded consciousness, the ability to “feel” or sense the vibrational fields that form the basis of all manifestation can help develop vast intuitive and psychic abilities and bring a deep sense of self. Specific techniques are given to help accelerate these processes. With easy-to-follow instructions, guidelines for building a personal “Crystal Healing Kit,” a diverse array of practices and powerful meditations, and over 100 beautiful pictures of the most powerful healing stones, this book will be an amazing first step for readers seeking a path of transformative healing.
