The science of Yoga according to Lord Dattatreya is a compendium of the Yogic practices followed during the ancient times. This book is in the form of a dialog between Lord Dattatreya and a seeker names Sankriti. A brief description of different paths.; Hatha, Laya, Mantra and Raja Yoga is given in this book. However the practices of Hatha Yoga are emphasized more. Lord Dattatreya is considered to be the incarnation of three divinities viz.; Brahma, Vishnu and Siva. He is a great Yogi and believed that he taught the knowledge of ‘Sri Vidya’to Lord Parasurama. For the followers of the paths of Siddha and Avadutha, he is the supreme master. The various sadhana paths briefly explained in this book have to be learned from a competent Guru as it is n0t possible to explain all hidden meaning in this book. We fell our efforts are not in vain if this little book makes reader practice Yoga diligently.

Adi Sankara was the founder of Advaita Vedanta. His commentaries on the ten famous Upanishads of the Vedas are available to us. However, he did not seem to have touched the Yoga Upanishads which are about twenty in number. Nevertheless, he authored a small book of 29 slokas 'Yoga Taravali', explaining the essence of the path of Yoga. Though this book is very small in size, it is not so in its content value. We hope that the readers will find this book to be a text book on higher yoga.

Dear Reader Man is not only a physical entity but represents a cogent expression or an equilibrium of forces, so to say, stimulated by certain higher principles. The zodiacal signs govern these principles also. We know that the signs are grouped into three types, cardinal, fixed and mutable. These three sets of signs govern the three chief modes of expression of the vital body (Pran. amaya), thus complicating the mechanisms of the human constitution. The cardinal signs denote activity and govern the functional activities of life. Circulation, respiration, digestion and excretion and such other vital activities are controlled by these signs. The occultist should gain hold over these functions in order to overcome the effects of the cardinal signs. The fixed signs govern the emotions and the desires of man. Wish, desire, anger, aversion, attraction and repulsion are governed by these signs. The behaviour nature of man which lies beyond the control of his intelligence and understanding comes under their control. In this book I am trying my best to explain the complete details about signs and their secrets which is hidden in universe. This is ancient wisdom and I believe you will love reading and learn a lot from this book if you are interested in the world of astrology. Regards, Saket Shah

This book contains practical advices given by the author to the spiritual seekers over a decade. There are 360 topics into which this voluminous work is divided covering everything that a seeker needs to know about the intricacies of the path. Usually there is a lot of confusion in the spiritual field, with gurus springing up like mushrooms everywhere, professing their own ideologies as standard systems of sadhana. In this state of affairs, the age-old traditions of Vedanta, Yoga and Tantra are freely being borrowed from and used for selfish gains but seldom acknowledged, much less clearly explained. Going through the available literature on these subjects, the reader is usually perplexed and often misled. Hence arises the need to explain the spiritual path and its sadhanas authentically and clearly. In this book, you will see the practical spiritual wisdom of India explained in simple terms, covering the intricate topics of Vedanta, Yoga, Tantra, Indian Astrology and Mysticism in the light of the teachings of great saints, both ancient and modern.

The echoes of ancient Indian wisdom can be heard from the oldest of scriptures that existed many years ago. Even thousands of years before they were written down on palm leaves, the teachings were passed on from generations to generations, from the teachers to the disciples in their oral form. These works are amongst the oldest of humanity. They laid the foundation of one of the most tolerant and diverse religions in the world, the Sanatan Dharma or Hinduism, which is marked by a wide range of ethos and philosophical approaches. Covering the vastness and immensity of the ancient Indian scriptures is akin to capturing a gigantic ocean in a small pitcher. Thus, in this book, the author has tried to catch a few 'echoes' resonating with age-old wisdom and has presented them to the readers. the book unravels the knowledge hidden inside the Samhitas, Brahmanas, Aranyakas and Upanishads of the Shruti that form the Vedas, and in the Smriti like Agamas, Dharma Shastras and so on. In short, it provides a glimpse, or rather a macro view of the ancient treasure of India.

The four types of yoga are covered in length in the current book, along with its philosophy, psychology, and practise techniques. It provides a comparison of the four yogas, outlining their similarities and distinctions. By destroying the ego, karma yoga, also known as the yoga of selfless action, aims to address the issue of ignorance. We are tethered to this world by attachment because of the ego, which was born out of ignorance. The practise of bhakti yoga involves inward purification. Bhakti-central yoga's thesis is that love is the most fundamental human emotion. Love is cosmocentric and divinely inspired in its most pure form. Raja-yoga ignites the flame of awareness of the self within in order to reach the Divine.
