They hold that the Son' of God shed His blood on the cross for Sinners, that they might be forgiven through faith in Him, and, when forgiven, might exercise their faith in good works, and thus become ready for heaven; From the earliest times the Church of the Brethren has laid more stress on the development of Christian life than upon the Working out of the minuter varieties of doctrine.
