The Red Word in the Blue Mind: Volume II is the second edition of what it was like being me, and this selection of poetry gives the reader a live look vicariously through my words and see it though my eyes. The inspiration was in the dark alley of a childhood memory and then brought to realization by a journey that brought me from those dark places to an even darker place called prison. My poetry has been motivated by religious ideas and philosophies, the financial success of being broke, to now being able to write books of poetry. It tickles the heartstrings of love and even dives in the depths of pain. Some of this work involves family, friends, or even casual acquaintances. The fun times as a teenager and the growing pains of becoming a man. Its all in this Red Word in the Blue Mind: Volume II. In this new edition I am introducing a new selection of my thoughts called Jewel. They are the quotes that I wrote while inside and have been living by them to express on my path of enlightenment, the very serious thoughts that one must have to rise above their current situation. Some people in the world who go to the elite schools and have the best of everything have raised up from a simple formula of life that once it is mastered the art is passed down from generation to generation. I have stumbled upon the fragments of the rip pages of this formula to try to share with the people what I have figured out. Yet I had to enclose it in the form of a poem. In the poem I had to hide from those that do not love the art of wisdom or success. Everybody doesnt read so my words until then to them it will never become red. This is bigger than Crips and Bloods or Democrats and Republicans. The Red Word in the Blue Mind: Volume II is a collection of my life collaged with the life of others.

A landmark book by marine biologist Wallace J. Nichols on the remarkable effects of water on our health and well-being. Why are we drawn to the ocean each summer? Why does being near water set our minds and bodies at ease? In Blue Mind, Wallace J. Nichols revolutionizes how we think about these questions, revealing the remarkable truth about the benefits of being in, on, under, or simply near water. Combining cutting-edge neuroscience with compelling personal stories from top athletes, leading scientists, military veterans, and gifted artists, he shows how proximity to water can improve performance, increase calm, diminish anxiety, and increase professional success. Blue Mind not only illustrates the crucial importance of our connection to water; it provides a paradigm shifting "blueprint" for a better life on this Blue Marble we call home.

A journey into one of the most fascinating minds alive today—guided by the owner himself. Bestselling author Daniel Tammet (Thinking in Numbers) is virtually unique among people who have severe autistic disorders in that he is capable of living a fully independent life and able to explain what is happening inside his head. He sees numbers as shapes, colors, and textures, and he can perform extraordinary calculations in his head. He can learn to speak new languages fluently, from scratch, in a week. In 2004, he memorized and recited more than 22,000 digits of pi, setting a record. He has savant syndrome, an extremely rare condition that gives him the most unimaginable mental powers, much like those portrayed by Dustin Hoffman in the film Rain Man. Fascinating and inspiring, Born on a Blue Day explores what it’s like to be special and gives us an insight into what makes us all human—our minds.
