That is, until one night, when their librarian father enlists their help to steal a forbidden book. Before their father is captured, Rachel and Robert are given one mission: find the missing final page. But to uncover the secrets of The Book of Stolen Dreams, the siblings must face darkness and combat many evils to be rewarded with the astonishing, magical truth about the book. Dreams: The Basics presents introductory and accessible information about what dreams are, where they come from, what they do, and how to understand and work with them. This book demythologises dream interpretation, with each chapter inviting the reader to ask questions about their own dreams and try exercises. Chapters explore social dreaming, how culture impacts dreams, and their use in counselling, therapy, and analysis. They offer suggestions about how to engage with and develop a skill set to work with dreams. This book summarises the latest thinking and research in this subject, as well as exploring key analytic theorists such as Freud, Jung, and their successors. A glossary is included, along with useful diagrams and images. The book is aimed at high school and A-level students, undergraduate students, and anyone interested in dreams.

The towering sand dunes along Lake Michigan not far from Chicago are one of the most unexpected natural features of Indiana. Dreams of Duneland is a beautifully illustrated introduction to the Dunes region, its history, and future prospects. This area of shifting sands is also a place of savanna, wetland, prairie, and forest that is home to a wide diversity of plant and animal species. The preserved area of the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore sits by residential communities, businesses, and cultural attractions, evidence of a long history of competition for the land among farmers, fur traders, industrialists, conservationists, and urban and recreational planners. With more than 400 stunning images, the book brings to life the remarkable story of this extraordinary place.

Everyone has dreams, but only a select few people have enough drive and dedication to make their dreams a reality. At the age of 18, William C. Troge, Captain Bill to those who know him best, began working on his Dream — a twelve foot long sailboat he built himself from the ground up. He intended to break four world records by sailing around the world, alone. Before his Dream could become a reality, Bill met a variety of people who would lend him their support. Eventually, he met a group of men willing to back his venture with their own kind of support--$50,000 worth! With his financing in place, Captain Bill set off on his amazing voyage, sailing out of Oyster Bay into the sunset, just like he’d dreamed. The experience and the lessons learned at sea became a part of him — are still a part of him — and shaped the man he was to become years later. His experiences are captivating, and inspiring, creating a story meant to be shared with anyone who has ever had a dream, or ever wanted to live one.

Lin and Richard, like so many people, dreamed of a life in the sun, away from the pace and problems of their stressed lives as teachers. Summer holidays in Europe were always over too quickly, and they began to feel the attraction of life in Greece. After an 'accidental' holiday on the small Greek island of Nisyros, albeit having been badly organised by a tour company which promptly went out of business, the spell was well and truly cast. After several more visits to the island during the holidays, ill-health caused a change in their circumstances in England. Whilst enjoying the freedom to walk, read and generally slowdown, they felt that now was the opportunity to seek their dream. Packing an elderly Landrover, Richard and Garry, the son of a friend, drove to Nisyros, whilst Lin and their daughter Sue, took the more obvious route and flew. Speaking only limited Greek on an island where so few of the inhabitants spoke little or no English, created both frustration and hilarity! Sue and her friend Amy stayed for a part of the summer, their presence causing a significant stir amongst the people of the small mountain village of Nikia where Lin, Richard and Garry had made their home. From killing the pig to burying the donkey; from cleaning rooms to repairing doors; from washing in well-water inhabited by several species of aquatic life, to dancing at the festivals, their life was filled with a variety and richness of experiences which have to be read to be believed. This year was the beginning of the realisation of their dream. Reviews "The new Interface is stunning in its simplicity and ease of use." - PC Magazine

People make the decision to become one of Gods believers for many reasons. For some, it is a long process. Then something happens to bring them over the line between doubt and belief, and they become Gods beloved child. In some cases, that something is a prophetic vision or dream. Visions and Dreams: Prophetic Gifts of the Holy Spirit is based on prophetic visions and dreams that author Dana George Cottrell experienced over twenty-three years. At first, those who experience these visions and dreams may be frightened and confused. The author shows there is no reason to be. You will learn receiving, interpreting, and sharing these communications is a maturing process. Without a source to assist someone who just received the gift, the process of interpreting vision and dreams can be quite a struggle. The author shares some of the dreams and visions he has experienced to help you understand and interpret those you experience. Youll also learn how to use those interpretations. After all, if used incorrectly, these gifts will be taken away. If you have experienced prophetic visions and dreams and want to know more about them, or if you are simply interested in the subject, Visions and Dreams: Prophetic Gifts of the Holy Spirit will help you understand and interpret these special gifts from God. Youll learn there is no reason to fear these signs of Gods love for you.
