Ace Roberts was, in his own words, "The Best Damn Fighter Pilot Ever Born!" This Clark-Gable look-alike got his nickname by shooting down ten Jap Zeros in a P-40 Tomahawk in 1942 as an American mercenary for Chinese Generalissimo Chiang Kai Shek. He reinforced this reputation in the Korean War by shooting down ten Russian-built MiG- 15's in his F-86 Sabrejet. He was, in fact, a double ace, two times over. Ace was also very, very lucky! He survived three years of inhuman torture in Japanese prisoner-of-war camps in World War II; being shot down behind enemy lines in Korea and a year of aerial combat in "MiG-Alley," high above the Manchurian skies. Women were irresistibly attracted by his devilish good looks and magnetic charm. These included Suzy, a pretty MASH nurse; An Liu, exotic confidant to Madame Chiang Kai Slick; and, if truth be known, Madame Chiang herself! But Ace had a penchant for taking chances. He chased two Chinese pilots across the Yalu River into Manchuria, shooting them down in violation of Air Force Regulations and getting cashiered from the service for this infraction. A year later, he vanished while flying an X-99 experimental jet over California's High Sierras, resulting in Madame Chiang's dispatching An Liu to assist in the search for her favorite American. Read LUCKYACE to find out if this intrepid airman can escape his latest rendezvous with death.

"Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Conqueror of death, and, consequently, of the death of our departed ones. Let us say to them in Him, not 'Farewell,' but 'Until we meet again, beloved spouse, good parents, dear brother or sister. Until we meet again!'" While many are now abandoning traditional religious practice, none the less, the reality of death and questions regarding the afterlife remain at the forefront of spiritual consciousness. How Our Departed Ones Live is the answer to those who seek the truth as expressed through the experience of the Orthodox Church. This comprehensive book discusses the source of death and mortality, the inner connection and mutual relationship between the living and the departed, intercession by the living for the departed, and life beyond the grave. It will comfort the grieving and inspire all Christians to strengthen their resolve as they seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness.

It was that very, very cold night in December that would change my life. I was very young, yet even at five years old, I had always dreamed of attending college and receiving my degree. One obstacle stood in my way--poverty. We were dirt poor. I sadly watched constantly my illiterate father drown himself in alcohol. Not once did he ever have that father-to-son talk. Not once did he say to us that he loved or cared for us. Yet, on the other hand, God gave to us our hard-working Christian mother, a woman who was the opposite of our father, a woman who prayed to God every night, praying and showing just how much she truly loved her sons. Every day of my life, I often thought about where my footsteps would lead me. Here I was constantly surrounded by poverty, violence, and racism. Would I end up hanging on some street living in poverty or, worse, dead? That one question that constantly haunted me with every footstep I took was simply, "How would I survive in this world without my mother? How could I live without you?"
