Excerpt from The National Quarterly Review, Vol. 35: July, 1877 IN beginning a new series of the national quarterly review, of which the present is the initial number, the Editor has made many changes in the general make-up of the work which he hopes will be regarded as substantial improvements. He begs to say, further, that In changing the date Of the numbers to accord more nearly with the date of issue, he has no intention of changing the latter.
