Announcing A Major Break-Through In The Science Of Hair Loss And Male Pattern Baldness A radical new theory has recently been published which explains that HAIR LOSS and MALE PATTERN BALDNESS are really caused by TWO factors and not just one, as was previously thought. Stop Hair Loss and Grow New Hair with the Maliniak Method The first factor, which is the radical new element, is the third layer of the TOP of the scalp called the GALEA which becomes very "tight" in some people, disrupts ordinary blood flow to the follicles and sets in motion the sequence of events which triggers hair loss. The role of the GALEA has been debated for years, but this new theory provides the rationale for concluding that it must be involved because men only go bald in the areas where this GALEA exists and nowhere else. The second factor is still dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which this new theory now states only accumulates due to this restricted blood flow and which is still the actual "killer" of follicles, as per the conventional wisdom. Even more significantly, this theory also concludes that "dormant" follicles can in fact be revived to produce hair again contrary to everything we were previously told. The new theory is called the MALINIAK METHOD and is published by BORN AGAIN, The Alternate Science Company. More importantly, this theory also provides a simple new two-step treatment method which first relaxes the GALEA with simple massage techniques to restore proper blood flow to the top of the scalp. It then stimulates the dormant follicles to produce hair again with an electrical stimulation device which revives the use of an old established science derived from NIKOLA TESLA. It has been around for one hundred years and is still being used to this day but in other applications. It has been adopted and adapted in the MALINIAK METHOD to treat HAIR LOSS because that is one of the purposes it was used for originally. Two independent scientific studies have recently been published which confirm the validity of the TWO main premises of the MALINIAK METHOD. One of them is from the CROWN institute in Pickering, Ontario, which confirms that the GALEA is in fact involved in hair loss and male pattern baldness. It also concludes that a reduction in the oxygen going to the follicles causes DHT to be overproduced, adding another explanation for why this "tightness" of the scalp is at the root of this problem. The second study is from the University of Pennsylvania which found that certain types of STEM CELLS called "progenitor" cells are more numerous in non-bald areas and that these dormant cells can in fact be induced to become "progenitor" cells, in effect, be "revived" and induced to produce hair again, contrary to the previous knowledge and as predicted by the MALINIAK METHOD.

International Relations (IR) as a discipline is often deemed to be “too Western” centric. It has been argued that much of mainstream IR theory is “simply an abstraction of Western history.” In this respect, many IR scholars have called for “broadening” the theoretical horizon of IR while problematising the Western parochialism of the discipline, and it is increasingly acknowledged that IR needs to embrace a wider range of histories, experiences, and theoretical perspectives, particularly those outside of the West. However, despite such a meaningful debate over broadening the theoretical and practical horizons of IR, several critical questions remain unclear and under-explored. For example, does IR need to embrace pluralism? If so, how much? To what extent, and in what sense, is IR parochial? Should IR promote dialogue across theoretical and spatial divides? If so, how? Yong-Soo Eun addresses these questions. He undertakes a literature review and an empirical analysis of the extent to which the field has actually become diverse and pluralistic. This investigation considers diversity beyond the current limited focus on the geographical origins of theory. Yong-Soo also draws attention to the mechanisms and processes of knowledge production and transmission in IR. More importantly, he addresses what is probably the most acute issue associated with the “non-Western” IR theory-building enterprise; namely, fragmentation and dialogue. In conclusion, Yong-Soo notes that the role of unsettling the present hierarchical structure of the discipline falls to reflexive individual agents. He argues that in order for their agential power to be more fully harnessed in the opening up of IR, critical “self”-reflection and “collective” empathy and collaboration among marginalised scholars are all essential.

Why do states do what they do? Who are the relevant nonstate actors in international politics and why do they do what they do? What causes conflict and cooperation in the international system? These are some of the most basic questions that the discipline of International Relations (IR) seeks to answer; they are also the questions that drive the objectives, organization and content of this book. International Politics: Classic and Contemporary Readings, Second Edition seeks to help students engage critically with some of the world’s most challenging questions through the use of leading classic and contemporary scholarship in the field of international relations. The first five chapters of the book explore the leading theoretical traditions in international relations, while subsequent chapters explore the themes of international security, international political economy, and contemporary challenges in international relations. This organization makes the book easy to use as standalone text or alongside core text. Class-tested on over 10,000 students in the last decade, this text was built from the ground up to introduce students to the traditions and new foundations of international relations as well to the principles of intellectually rigorous thought.

The book gathers together a set of lively, provocative essays by leading voices in International Political Economy to debate the evolution of the field, its current state and its future directions. Prompted by recent commentaries on the existence of a ‘transatlantic divide’ in IPE between an ‘American school’ and a ‘British school’, the essays provide a wide-ranging discussion of whether it is useful to think of the field in these terms, what the ‘American’ and ‘British’ schools look like, what their achievements and shortcomings are, and what are the desirable future directions for IPE scholarship. The diverse responses to these questions reflect the ongoing vibrancy and diversity of the field of IPE, and open up an imaginative and engaging discussion about where we need to go from here. Featuring contributions from the most influential scholars in the field from North America, Canada and the UK, this book is essential reading for anyone interested in the cutting edge debates in contemporary international political economy.

The content of this volume has been added to eMagRes (formerly Encyclopedia of Magnetic Resonance) - the ultimate online resource for NMR and MRI. The literature of multidimensional NMR began with the publication of three papers in 1975, then nine in 1976 and fifteen in 1977, and now contains many tens of thousands of papers. Any attempt to survey the field must therefore necessarily be very selective, not to say partial. In assembling this handbook, the Editors have sought to provide both the new researcher and the established scientist with a solid foundation for the understanding of multidimensional NMR, a representative if inevitably limited survey of its applications, an authoritative account of classic techniques such as COSY, NOESY and TOSCY, and an account of the latest progress in the development of multidimensional techniques. This handbook is structured in four parts. The first opens with an historical introduction to, and a brief account of, the practicalities and applications of multidimensional NMR methods, followed by a definitive survey of their conceptual basis and a series of articles setting out the generic principles of methods for acquiring and processing multidimensional NMR data. In the second part, the main families of multidimensional techniques, arranged in approximate order of increasing complexity, are described in detail, from simple J-resolved spectroscopy through to the powerful heteronuclear 3D and 4D methods that now dominate the study of structural biology in solution. The third part offers and illustrative selection from the very wide range of applications of multidimensional NMR methods, including some of the most recent developments in protein NMR. Finally, the fourth part introduces the idea of multidimensional spectra containing non-frequency dimensions, in which properties such as diffusion and relaxation are correlated. About EMR Handbooks / eMagRes Handbooks The Encyclopedia of Magnetic Resonance (up to 2012) and eMagRes (from 2013 onward) publish a wide range of online articles on all aspects of magnetic resonance in physics, chemistry, biology and medicine. The existence of this large number of articles, written by experts in various fields, is enabling the publication of a series of EMR Handbooks / eMagRes Handbooks on specific areas of NMR and MRI. The chapters of each of these handbooks will comprise a carefully chosen selection of articles from eMagRes. In consultation with the eMagRes Editorial Board, the EMR Handbooks / eMagRes Handbooks are coherently planned in advance by specially-selected Editors, and new articles are written (together with updates of some already existing articles) to give appropriate complete coverage. The handbooks are intended to be of value and interest to research students, postdoctoral fellows and other researchers learning about the scientific area in question and undertaking relevant experiments, whether in academia or industry. Solid-state NMR covers an enormous range of material types and experimental techniques. Although the basic instrumentation and techniques of solids NMR are readily accessible, there can be significant barriers, even for existing experts, to exploring the bewildering array of more sophisticated techniques. In this unique volume, a range of experts in different areas of modern solid-state NMR explain about their area of expertise, emphasising the “practical aspects” of implementing different techniques, and illustrating what questions can and cannot be addressed. Later chapters address complex materials, showing how different NMR techniques discussed in earlier chapters can be brought together to characterise important materials types. The volume as a whole focusses on topics relevant to the developing field of “NMR crystallography” – the use of solids NMR as a complement to diffraction crystallography. This book is an ideal complement to existing introductory texts and reviews on solid-state NMR. New researchers wanting to understand new areas of solid-state NMR will find each chapter to be the equivalent to spending time in the laboratory of an internationally leading expert, learning the hints and tips that make the difference between knowing about a technique and being ready to put it into action. With no equivalent on the market, it will be of interest to every solid-state NMR researcher (academic and postgraduate) working in the chemical sciences.

This book identifies and addresses subtle but important questions and issues associated with the configuration of International Relations as a discipline. Starting with a much-needed discussion of manifold implications and issues associated with pluralism, the book raises important questions, such as where does the field of IR stand in terms of epistemological, theoretical, and methodological diversity. The book also carries out a comparative analysis of the present status of post-positivist IR scholarship in the United States and China.Eun discusses these questions through a close reading of the key texts in the field and by undertaking a critical survey of publishing and teaching practices in IR communities. IR scholars will gravitate to this text that fills many gaps in international political theory.
