This book is a continuation of the book 'NOWHERE STREET', a story about Frankie Goushen, a young boy's early life in the cafes and dives of Cable Street in the 50's, in London's East-End. Nowhere Street tells of his time spent in an Approved School, of the bullying and spite which went on at the time. This book continues the story of Frankie's life, when he becomes involved with the Gangsters of the East-End. It depicts the times of the late 50's and the early 60's, of his fight to survive and the time spent in the different Prisons, Borstals and Institutions of the day. This is a tough book of hurt and pain, though through the dirt and the grime shines the light of social history and what was seen as normal in those days. While the tale is gritty and the words not for those with a softer disposition, the story can only be told to its strength and much is based on my earlier life.

“If there ever was such a thing as a ‘shortcut’ to the wisdom of the ages, you’re holding it in your hands. This is the kind of wisdom that can only be earned over a lifetime of trial and error, trial and error, and, finally, trial and success.” -Patrick Morley Author, The Man in the Mirror “In 2001, I wrote a book called Lies Women Believe. Since then this message has reached millions of women and been translated into dozens of languages. But I’ve often been asked about a ‘male counterpart’ to the book. When God brought Robert into my life in 2015, I soon realized he was the ideal choice to pen this message for men. You’ll find that reading Lies Men Believe, with its warm, relatable style, is like having a conversation with a good friend. Be prepared, in the process, to grapple with some tough issues. And be prepared to experience the liberating power of the Truth—in your own life, and in the lives of those you influence.” -Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth Revive Our Hearts Teacher & Host; Lies Books Series Editor You are being hunted. The battle to resist pornography is brutal. Its lure just seems too powerful. We've tried for years to be strong, run away from temptation, and manage our desires in better ways. No matter how hard we try, though, we just can't get free from pornography. Some of us have lost all hope. What if the battle you've been fighting isn't even the real battle? What if using pornography is just a symptom of something deeper going on inside of you? What if the things you are doing to protect yourself actually contribute to your obsession? Have you had thoughts like I'm the only one struggling like this, God must be so ashamed of me, or I've got to get stronger to overcome this? These thoughts are common. But they are also lies. 10 Lies Men Believe about Porn holds these lies up against the truth of Scripture. You'll learn how they deceive us into missing out on the freedom Christ offers us. Ultimately, you'll discover that the message of the gospel isn't about learning to fight better-it's about no longer needing to fight at all. That is the type of freedom Jesus came to offer you. That's why they call it the Good News. "And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." -John 8:32-

Getting someone to tell the truth is an essential skill that very few people possess. In the boardroom, classroom, or our own homes, every day we interact with others and try to get the truth from them. People are often untruthful out of fear of negative consequences associated with divulging information. But if a person is made to forget the long-term outcomes of lying, he or she can be influenced to disclose sensitive information that's being withheld. The aim is to encourage the person to remain in short-term thinking mode, shifting focus away from the long-term ramifications of telling the truth. As former CIA agents and bestselling authors of Spy the Lie, Philip Houston, Mike Floyd, and Susan Carnicero are among the world's best at detecting deceptive behavior and eliciting the truth from even the most accomplished liars. Get the Truth is a step-by-step guide that empowers readers to elicit the truth from others. It also chronicles the fascinating story of how the authors used a methodology Houston developed to elicit the truth in the counterterrorism and criminal investigation realms, and how these techniques can be applied to our daily lives. Using thrilling anecdotes from their careers in counterintelligence, and with easy-to-follow instructions, the authors provide a foolproof means of getting absolutely anybody to give an honest answer. Get the Truth is the easy and effective way to learn how to get the truth every time.

From the author of the bestselling novel The Shack and the New York Times bestsellers Cross Roads and Eve comes a compelling, conversational exploration of twenty-eight assumptions about God—assumptions that just might be keeping us from experiencing His unconditional, all-encompassing love. In his wildly popular novels, Wm. Paul Young portrayed the Triune God in ways that challenged our thinking—sometimes upending long-held beliefs, but always centered in the eternal, all-encompassing nature of God’s love. Now, in Wm. Paul Young’s first nonfiction book, he invites us to revisit our assumptions about God—this time using the Bible, theological discussion, and personal anecdotes. Paul encourages us to think through beliefs we’ve presumed to be true and consider whether some might actually be false. Expounding on the compassion fans felt from the “Papa” portrayed in The Shack—now a major film starring Sam Worthington and Octavia Spencer—Paul encourages you to think anew about important issues including sin, religion, hell, politics, identity, creation, human rights, and helping us discover God’s deep and abiding love.
