There is a leaky tap going drip, drop! The hen wants to fix the leaky tap in the chicken coop and asks the horse to help, but a small mistake leads to a lot of confusion. It often finds children laughing out loud at the end. The book also provides a perfect script for reenactment to work on the children's storytelling, drama and sequencing skills. This brilliant story by Priyanka is brought to life by the truly unique artwork of Singapore-based illustrator Lisa Wee.

An all-inclusive edition of the poetry of Watson Kirkonnell would run to some ten large volumes of original verse and translations. His original verse would fill two volumes the size of this one, and his translated verse—from Icelandic, Italian, Dutch, French, Magyar, Latin, Ukrainian and Polish—would fill 5,000 pages. No poet in the English-speaking tradition is more deeply grounded in world literature. The original poetry of Watson Kirkconnell has been primarily narrative in character: first, the twelve philosophically slanted books of his Spenserian epic, The Eternal Quest; then the seventeen vivid narratives in The Flying Bull, and Other Tales, a sort of Western echo of The Canterbury Tales; and finally the thirty narrative poems of his new Centennial Tales, many of which were written in 1964. These are framed about the history of Canada, and are written in honour of the nation's Centennial in 1967. They range from the coming of the first "Amerindians" from Asia about 30,000 B.C. to a possible atomic holocaust in A.D. 2000, and include poems on the Quebec Conference of 1864, the Vimy Memorial, the Italian Campaign and the Canadians in Cyprus. This volume also contains some lyrics from Dr. Kirkconnell's light opera, The Mod at Grand Pré, and the whole of his Greek-style drama, Let My People Go, with its setting in Egypt just before the Exodus and its issues in the present. The original poetry has been arranged in roughly the reverse of chronological order, while the translations are arranged according to the dates of publication.

Shayla, Jason, Sophia, Taylor, Ed and Jarvis: six vibrant, hard-working, diverse and loyal colleagues, along with Devlin, the boss straight from great-leader heaven, they have bonded over nearly a decade into ‘family’. Using their collective intelligence and wit, they have worked heart and soul to build Pure Waters, Inc. (PWI) from an afterthought into America’s premiere water/waste water treatment company. As fate would have it, “no good deed goes unpunished”. Without their knowledge and certainly without their consent, their profitable, warm-spirited company is sold to a foreign corporation. The new, multi-billion dollar owners are known worldwide for their vicious, ruthless leadership. They ignore policies, procedures, political correctness, any form of decency and federal laws as they trample on the hearts and spirits of these newly conquered employees. Soon, without warning or apology, the escalating, intolerable mistreatment will be stopped, forever, by one of them, in a carefully executed act deemed “terroristic”. Embittered Marcus Mason, the government agent assigned to uncover the doer, tears into their backgrounds, revealing shocking hurts and acts none of them knew about each other, including assault, arson, rape and death. He leaves the six corporate PWI executives further in shards. A blazing, searing love affair, hidden for as long as company policy could be endured is tested to the limit as the explosive investigation concludes. Join these battered but determined American employees, as collective breaths are held, to see if they and their company will ever recover from the assault and battery they valiantly revolt against.

NICK PERITO has accompanied, arranged, composed and conducted for many of the world’s most famous singers and entertainers. His career in television has earned him twelve Emmy nominations. This book offers an affectionate glimpse of his upbringing as the son of Italian immigrants and recounts his successful career in the colorful and unpredictable world of show business. “I NEVER THOUGHT I could get up in front of an audience and just sing my favorite songs – and even make it into a one-woman show. It was Nick’s idea and he was relentless in insisting that I do it. God will get him for that!” – Bea Arthur “I ADORE THE work of Nick Perito because it is an extension of the warmth, humor and charm of the man. He has made a tremendous contribution to the preservation of great music and continues to create fresh and essential sounds for our time. Bravo, Nick!” – Michael Feinstein “SOMETIMES WHEN I’m listening to a Perry Como recording and I hear Nick Perito playing so beautifully behind him, it brings me to a sweeter time in my life. All those great songs and arrangements. Recently I had the good fortune to have Nick as my conductor and what a treat. I almost stopped the show just to watch him play. What a life he has led! Sometimes it’s just the quiet guy behind the piano who has the best stories to tell. Nick is one of them. You’ll love his book.” – Regis Philbin “NICK PERITO NOT only just happened to be there,’ he was a vibrant and active participant in the glory days of American popular music. For those interested in the music and personalities of this marvelous era, I cannot recommend this book more highly.” – Patrick Williams “NICK IS A great arranger, a wonderful musician, a dear friend...and he can write, too.” – Linda Hope
