The way of peace and the way of holiness lie side by side, or rather, they are one. That which bestows the one imparts the other; and he who takes the one takes the other also. The Spirit of peace is the Spirit of holiness. The God of peace is the God of holiness. If at any time these paths seem to go asunder, there must be something wrong, wrong in the teaching that makes them seem to part company, or wrong in the state of the man in whose life they have done so. They start together, or at least so nearly together that no eye, save the divine, can mark a difference. Yet, properly speaking, the peace goes before the holiness, and is its parent. This is what divines call "priority in nature, though not in time," which means substantially this, that the difference in such almost identical beginnings is too small in point of time to be perceived by us, yet it is not on that account the less distinct and real. The two are not independent. There is fellowship between them, vital fellowship, each being the helpmeet of the other. The fellowship is not of mere coincidence, as in the case of strangers who happen to meet on the same path, nor of arbitrary appointment, as in the case of two parallel roads, but of mutual help and sympathy like the fellowship of head and heart, or of two members of one body, the peace being indispensable to the production or causation of the holiness, and the holiness indispensable to the maintaining and deepening of the peace. Central to God’s character is the quality of holiness. Yet, even so, most people are hard-pressed to define what God’s holiness precisely is. Many preachers today avoid the topic altogether because people today don’t quite know what to do with words like “awe” or “fear.” R. C. Sproul, in this classic work, puts the holiness of God in its proper and central place in the Christian life. He paints an awe-inspiring vision of God that encourages Christian to become holy just as God is holy. Once you encounter the holiness of God, your life will never be the same.

J. C. Ryle's "Holiness " is a lost treasure, written by one of the great Anglican priests and writers of the nineteenth century. Hendrickson reintroduces this classic text, largely unavailable today, on living a Christ-like life. "Holiness " is considered to be one of the most profound books on discipleship in the English language. Christians have recognized anew the critical importance of discipleship and spiritual formation to the life of the individual believer, the local church and to the Kingdom of God. Ryle's "Holiness " ranks among the core library of teachings on being a disciple of Jesus Christ. In this book, Ryle encourages the reader into a life of holiness, drawn completely from the Bible and not from contemporary books or preachers, or from any of the fads that were popular during his lifetime, much as they are today or in any era. He is writing about personal, or private, holiness, the life we live behind closed doors with our families and closest friends. "I have had a deep conviction for many years that practical holiness and entire self-consecration to God are not sufficiently attended by modern Christians in this country. Politics, controversy, or party-spirit, or worldliness, have eaten out the heart of lively piety in too many of us. The subject of personal godliness has fallen sadly into the background." --"J. C. Ryle "

We are the people, like John, are to prepare the way of the Lord; and if we are prepared for the second coming of Christ, we must work with all diligence to prepare other for Christ's second advent, as did the forerunner of Christ for His first advent, calling me to repentance... We want to life up the standard. Let all the people come up to the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us pray that we hunger and thirst after righteousness; for Jesus says, "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. We know that the gates of hell shall not prevail against God's true church for Christ is the head and Satan is a defeated foe. Yet, he is so subtle! The world is married to the 501 (3) and (8) organized church, its members are absorbed with worldly pursuit and worldly gain causing the love of many to wax cold. The organized church is fast becoming the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. The pastors wife's dress is so short that you have to look up when she sits down. The church has become a fashion show, gluttony and intemperance dethrones reason and logic. What the pastor says out weights a "Thus sayeth the Lord"! Men and women take what they want and leave what they do not want from the word of God, instead of living by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. True, loyal and righteous Christian do not become discouraged for you are witnessing prophecy coming to past. The lamb like beast of Revelation 13:11 is so to take the stage and plunge this world into a terrible crisis. God too is soon to take the reigns of the Christian gospel into His own hands and work for and with His people, Psalms 119:126.The time has come, in order to preserve your children's purity and not pervert their perception of the true worship of God, to take them as far as possible from a organized 501 (3) church. Three or four families should join together and have home church. Once a month, three or four of the home church companies should come together to fellowship together, e.g. pray, worship, break bread, etc. We need to pray more, study our bibles more, while we ask for spiritual discernment for the end of all things is at hand.In her endeavor to reach her home, the eagle is often beaten down by the tempest to the narrow defiles of the mountains... At last she dashes upward into the blackness, and gives a shrill scream of triumph as she emerges, a moment later, in the calm sunshine above. The darkness and tempest are all below her, and the light of heaven is shinning about her. She reaches her loved home in the lofty crag, and is satisfied. It was through darkness that she reached the light. It cost her an effort to do this, but she is rewarded in gaining the object which she sought. This is the only course we can pursue as followers of Christ... We have heights of faith to reach, where all is peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.may God bless and keep each of you as we travel this pilgrims progress to the celestial city. Maranatha

In this book, I expose the lies of the hour saying that holy living and separation from the world are not necessary. The spirit of Jezebel is prominent in so many churches, flaunting its lust and opposition to true righteousness. The charismatic spirit promotes loose living and a wrong definition of grace. For many, grace has become a license to sin. If you are born again, you must also live a holy lifestyle. Holiness is required to make Heaven just as much as the new birth is. You can be born again, but if you are not holy, you will not be saved. Does not the Bible say that without holiness, no man shall see the Lord? Your definition of holiness is not needed nor wanted. Holiness is plainly defined by scripture. Holiness has everything to do with our lives. It includes the teachings of hair, dress, entertainment, the company we keep, our conduct, conversation, how we dress, and much more. This book is not so much about those details but does give a strong defense and voice for the need to be holy. Sadly, so many men that stand behind the pulpits in churches will not preach the message God so requires. The blood of these precious souls will be on the hands of the compromising preachers.
