Christopher Freiderich Hepler (1746-1816) was born in Germany and emigrated to Pennsylvania and married Catherine Hertzel (d. bef. 1816). Christopher and Catherine first settled in Pennsylvania, then moved to Thomasville, Rowan County, North Carolina. With his brothers, Casper, Jacob, and George, he fought in the Revolutionary War.
