"The Harvest and the Lamp, the third volume of the Colosseum Books series, is a singular collection of poems in an wide variety of forms and voices. Author Andrew Frisardi writes on fundamental human themes such as love and desire, death and grief, the nature of the self and self-transcendence in a tone that ranges from serious to witty to exuberant. The poems are often set in Italy, where Frisardi has lived for a number of years, drawing on natural or concrete imagery as well as the imaginal or symbolic. Frisardi composes in a number of forms: sonnet and sestina, triolet and ghazal, nonce forms and free verse, gracefully and with a fresh use of diction and rhyme. As the late poet-translator Brett Foster put it, "Andrew Frisardi's [poems] are exquisitely made things, many angled and shining brightly. Ear, eye, and mind do their elegant, exact work." Frisardi is an internationally noted translator and independent scholar of Dante, and Dante's impact appears directly or indirectly in much of his poetry, including a few translations in this volume. The poet-biographer Paul Mariani has written that in Frisardi's poetry one finds the "resins of the classics everywhere. Add wit, sensitivity, humor and the recurring shock of recognition, then sit back and enjoy what Andrew Frisardi has prepared for you. Then come back and taste again for the sheer pleasure of the company.""--

The Divine Secret Garden Communicates to those who are desiring to advance to another level altogether in learning the true mysteries of Christ... John V. Panella, has been writing for over 40-years, his mission is about re-introducing the lost children back to their Father, and restore lost truths from the ancient world. John, also known as 'John the Gnostic' as well as 'John Peniel,' has decoded the mystical revelation of Jesus Christ' Parables, and has exposed the esoteric mystery within the Bible, along with other ancient works, in a simple and easy to understand format, in his series of books called, The Divine Secret Garden. Do not read these books if all you are doing is trying to support a belief system and or are trying to find fault. These books provide the 'OIL' necessary to combat the programming that has led everyone astray, therefore, they must be read repeatedly as a way to keep the spiritual lamp filled. These books have been specially coded and written only for the true children of the Father to be read in order. To them that hath ears let them hear and to them that hath eyes let them see. Only those who know and understand the Father's voice will witness the jewel of their crown, the rest will be angered and reject the Word within and must be reseeded.

A career-spanning collection of Bruce Berger’s beautiful, subtle, and spiky essays on the American desert Occupying a space between traditional nature writing, memoir, journalism, and prose poetry, Bruce Berger’s essays are beautiful, subtle, and haunting meditations on the landscape and culture of the American Southwest. Combining new, unpublished essays with selections from his acclaimed trilogy of “desert books”—The Telling Distance, There Was a River, and Almost an Island—A Desert Harvest is a career-spanning selection of the best work by this unique and undervalued voice. Wasteland architecture, mountaintop astronomy, Bach in the wilderness, the mind of the wood rat, the canals of Phoenix, and the numerous eccentric personalities who call the desert their home all come to life in these fascinating portraits of America’s seemingly desolate terrains.
