This translation was made from my manuscript copy of the only known extant exemplar of the Patelin printed by Guillaume Le Roy at Lyons, about 1486. Before December 20, 1490, Le Roy's Patelin was faithfully reprinted, with six excellent illustrative woodcuts, by Pierre Levet, a celebrated Parisian printer and publisher.
