Thomas Cochran (1733-1801), with his father and brothers, immigrated from the north of Ireland to Halifax, Nova Scotia about 1761. He married twice (once in Nova Scotia). Descendants and relatives lived in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and elsewhere. Some descendants (in the British army) returned later to England, Scotland and served also in Ireland. Some descendants immigrated to New York and else- where in the United States.
