When Marshal Hong breaks the seals which generations of Taoist Masters have placed on the temple doors to hold back 108 incarcerated Demon Princes, powerful forces of disorder are released. One after another, brave men fall out with officialdom and are obliged to join the brotherhood of the rivers and lakes-the mixed company of heroes and vagabonds who live by their wits and their fighting skills. The story of The Broken Seals branches this way and that, following first one hero, then another, as their paths converge and part, until finally 108 brave-but not entirely admirable-men are united at the outlaws' stronghold in the Marshes of Mount Liang. The story takes us through the vast landscape of imperial China. We hear of epic duels, gargantuan feasts, and cunning ambushes, and we witness injustice, betrayal, murder and revenge. We are told also of the beauty of the moon during Mid-Autumn Festival or of the snow, crisp underfoot on a stormy night in the country. This volume consists of the first twenty-two chapters of the full 120-chapter version of the classic Chinese novel by Shi Nai'an and Luo Guanzhong. It is the first English translation based on this version and including much of the verse. It offers the English reader something of the liveliness and humour of a work which has delighted generations of Chinese readers.

God is preparing a spiritual tsunami to sweep the nations and reclaim our culture for Christ, says author Johnny Enlow. He describes seven culture-shaping areas of influence over each society--media, government, education, economy, family, religion, and celebration (arts and entertainment)--that are the keys to taking a nation for the kingdom of God. The purpose of this book is to draw the church's attention to these areas; help each individual determine his or her specific assignment in this mission; and then to offer insight into the nature of the battles involved in this "spiritual tsunami," as the author calls it. Many Christians do not grasp that God's favor for us to succeed is already upon us and is part of His end-time strategy to establish Jesus as Ruler of the Nations before His return. Readers will come to understand that this favor is divinely strategic and corresponds to the place of each person's ministry assignment. Many have a spiritual poverty vision and poor eschatology, two factors that have robbed us of our blessing and caused us to fail to reclaim cultural influences for Christ. The book is laid out to address these two misunderstandings, with the first several chapters specifically aimed at correcting lack of vision and misguided understanding of the end times. Each chapter that follows provides intensive, detailed study of each "mountain" of influence, how it will be taken and by whom, and what resistance will be encountered by individuals assigned to claim this mountain.

If only she could turn away. If only she could resist his kisses, but Remy melts when he looks at her like that. But this secret's weighing on her soul, the guilt getting heavier and heavier every day. Remy has to tell Sawyer that Shiloh is his, but can they start fresh? Or will it be the tragic end to their love story?

Enjoy this trip into the world of the terrorist and the counterterrorist. My broken SEALs are handicapped men the military has mustered out of the service. They run afoul of S-Systems Corporation, a privately funded front-company that possesses awesome surveillance capability they do not hesitate to use without a court order. Believe it! The ends, after all, justify the means when millions of lives are at stake. Or do they? Commander Evans is electronically frisked at a most private moment, violated by Big Brother while on a mission to prevent the seals to some very deadly viruses from being broken by terrorists. And the terrorist? They have cause and grievance for their rage. Like the American Indian they have been dispossessed by a flood of immigrants, themselves fleeing brutality, oppression, and injustice. The cycle of rage and violence continues from generation to generation, passed on from father to son like family violence and poverty. We must protect ours volatile facilities. We are in the FRAG ZONE!

A hard-hitting exposé of SEAL Team 6, the US military’s best-known brand, that reveals how the Navy SEALs were formed, then sacrificed, in service of American empire. The Navy SEALs are, in the eyes of many Americans, the ultimate heroes. When they killed Osama Bin Laden in 2011, it was celebrated as a massive victory. Former SEALs rake in cash as leadership consultants for corporations, and young military-bound men dream of serving in their ranks. But the SEALs have lost their bearings. Investigative journalist Matthew Cole tells the story of the most lauded unit, SEAL Team 6, revealing a troubling pattern of war crimes and the deep moral rot beneath authorized narratives. From their origins in World War II, the SEALs have trained to be specialized killers with short missions. As the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan became the endless War on Terror, their violence spiraled out of control. Code Over Country details the high-level decisions that unleashed the SEALs’ carnage and the coverups that prevented their crimes from coming to light. It is a necessary and rigorous investigation of the unchecked power of the military—and the harms enacted by and upon soldiers in America’s name.
