"It was a full moon on the evening of Saturday, August 29, 2015, at the Experiencers Speak Conference 4, at the Fireside Inn in Portland, Maine. The Experiencers Speak Conferences are events for people who have personally experienced otherworldly contact. People come from all over the world to share their stories and listen to others talk about what they have witnessed. That night, four visitors not of this world, reality, or dimension, arrive just as a world-famous experiencer, Travis Walton, was to share the new documentary, 'Travis: The True Story of Travis Walton, ' a new film about his abduction story. My name is John Polk. I am an eyewitness as to what happened that night." The story of the Blue Beings visiting the UFO conference has made the rounds of UFO talk radio and the experiencer underground. Some witnesses have come forth publicly and others have not. It had been said by many in the know, that ETs come and visit such conferences, but seldom do they make themselves known, are more likely to disguise themselves, and not call attention to their presence. In this visitation, they wanted to be known, but in a subtle kind of way and choose the most likely audience to do this, not defy the zeitgeist and appear before a roomful of skeptics, but visit a roomful of experiencers. What does this mean? You, the reader, can decide for yourself when you read this fascinating account.

A landmark book by marine biologist Wallace J. Nichols on the remarkable effects of water on our health and well-being. Why are we drawn to the ocean each summer? Why does being near water set our minds and bodies at ease? In Blue Mind, Wallace J. Nichols revolutionizes how we think about these questions, revealing the remarkable truth about the benefits of being in, on, under, or simply near water. Combining cutting-edge neuroscience with compelling personal stories from top athletes, leading scientists, military veterans, and gifted artists, he shows how proximity to water can improve performance, increase calm, diminish anxiety, and increase professional success. Blue Mind not only illustrates the crucial importance of our connection to water; it provides a paradigm shifting "blueprint" for a better life on this Blue Marble we call home.

From medieval bestiaries to Borges’s Book of Imaginary Beings, we’ve long been enchanted by extraordinary animals, be they terrifying three-headed dogs or asps impervious to a snake charmer’s song. But bestiaries are more than just zany zoology—they are artful attempts to convey broader beliefs about human beings and the natural order. Today, we no longer fear sea monsters or banshees. But from the infamous honey badger to the giant squid, animals continue to captivate us with the things they can do and the things they cannot, what we know about them and what we don’t. With The Book of Barely Imagined Beings, Caspar Henderson offers readers a fascinating, beautifully produced modern-day menagerie. But whereas medieval bestiaries were often based on folklore and myth, the creatures that abound in Henderson’s book—from the axolotl to the zebrafish—are, with one exception, very much with us, albeit sometimes in depleted numbers. The Book of Barely Imagined Beings transports readers to a world of real creatures that seem as if they should be made up—that are somehow more astonishing than anything we might have imagined. The yeti crab, for example, uses its furry claws to farm the bacteria on which it feeds. The waterbear, meanwhile, is among nature’s “extreme survivors,” able to withstand a week unprotected in outer space. These and other strange and surprising species invite readers to reflect on what we value—or fail to value—and what we might change. A powerful combination of wit, cutting-edge natural history, and philosophical meditation, The Book of Barely Imagined Beings is an infectious and inspiring celebration of the sheer ingenuity and variety of life in a time of crisis and change.

Do you wonder? Do you have big existential questions about your life and life in general? Do you wonder about the meaning of life and why we are here? This story is written as a meditation and thought exercise. We follow two main characters as they explore the meaning of life. One character is a tiny blue speck in the vastness of the universe and the other is a human woman, one of the many smaller entities that live within the tiny blue speck which itself lives within another and so on infinitely. There is a synchronicity established as we see that the experience of the human woman mirrors on her level the experiences of the tiny blue speck which is intelligent at the cellular level. We humans may in fact be cells in another larger more intelligent body. Philosophy is explored as Amber looks for meaning while fulfilling assignments in her college philosophy class. The book explores the idea of, ‘as above so below’ and the meaning of our existence by following the internal emotional view and the external practical view through the various colorful emotions of the rainbow. There is an exploration of the chakras and their healthiest meanings as well as an exploration of travels through the stages of grief as one of the main characters, a college student, has loss both of her parents in an accident and has to come to an understanding about life and love and connection. Understanding darkness and Shadow is an essential part of understanding the meaning of life. Both characters, the woman and the cell of light feels alone and on a mission of discovery. One character voluntarily leaves the collective glow while the other is left alone by the death of her parents. The major lesson is one of connection, to one or more other beings. We connect by finding joy, sharing it, and by realizing, experiencing, and accepting the joy of connection with all of existence. Darkness and light are part of the same river seen from different perspectives. We are drops of light and color in a vast river of light with no beginning and no end. We are the glow. The several major pieces of the writer’s artwork included evokes the same kinds of meditative thoughtful frame of mind in pursuit of meaning. You are invited to kick your feet up and explore one verse, one picture and one emotion at a time. Enjoy!
