As far as understanding Paul’s writing, there is no book that is more complete and comprehensive than this one. If you have ever been frustrated or uninterested while reading the books of Paul, you are not alone. Unfortunately, most saints in our day know very little of Paul’s writings. They can quote some common verses, but they know little of the doctrines contained within its pages. If you are like most, you wish you knew the Bible better and how to use it to support the doctrines of the church today. If you understand what Paul is talking about, you can do just that. Once a person understands what Paul is speaking of, they will begin to see the church in our day. All the problems are the same. All the doctrines of today’s church are the same. A person doesn’t need to understand a different culture to see how Paul’s writings apply to us. His writings are truly “another witness of Jesus Christ.” As you read, study and reference this commentary, you will certainly come to love Paul’s inspired counsel to the Saints of God.
