Maggie and her grandsons spent the better part of each day at a campsite in Colorado while mom, dad and grandpa went mountain biking. Jake was three years old and Max was one year old at the time. The boys wanted her to tell them stories about dinosaurs. She would only tell them stories about friendly dinosaurs. She made up the stories along the way. She decided that her grandsons would identify with the dinosaur characters if they had colors. So, she made each dinosaur in a primary color to go with the dinosaur name. That's where it started. They wanted her to repeat the stories so many times, that she knew them by heart. When she got home from the trip, she wrote them down and thus this book.

In Dubuque, Iowa there is a very famous landmark called the Fourth Street Elevator. It is definitely a great tourist attraction and has been in operation since 1882. One summer day, Maggie took her grandsons, Jake and Max, for a ride up and down the elevator. They had so many questions about the history of the elevator, so they went on the internet to learn more about the history of it. After the first ride, every time the boys came to visit they had to take another ride up and down the elevator. About that same time, the first J.K. Rowling book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone hit the bookstores. The boys loved it when Maggie read the book to them. They even wanted her to make the Harry Potter caps, which she did. That was the starting point. Maggie's mind starting spinning with all sorts of ideas about a book based on the Fourth Street Elevator and inspired by the over-all theme of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. The book includes some historical background but very quickly turns into an imaginative and magical tale of two boys and a delightful white cat, Master Graves.

"People's Choice Award - 2016 Book of the Year" -Geek Ireland Thirty years have passed since the destruction of Paradise Cove. Since then, pliosaurs the size of whales have wreaked havoc on the world's oceans. Despite tragic losses, Garm Braddock and his brother Dirk wage a bloody war of attrition against the voracious marine reptiles: Garm from the helm of the anti-biologic submarine Gryphon and his brother from the top-secret military research facility known as TARTARUS. In spite of ongoing attempts to destroy them, the prehistoric predators that rose from the ashes of Diablo Caldera continue to multiply. They are bringers of death, and via more than just their deadly jaws. Their blood contains a primeval pathogen so virulent that, left unchecked, could spell the end of mammalian life. Meanwhile, in the icy darkness of the deep, an evil as ancient as the dinosaurs stirs in response to the changes in Earth's oceans. Rising hungrily to the surface, it brings with it an intellect as cold as the abyss and an irrepressible need to destroy and devour. And conquer.
