The Government Information Office of the Republic of China (ROC) presents a collection of articles on the December 20, 1999 Macau transfer of power from Portugal to the People's Republic of China. The articles were originally published in "Taiwan Headlines," the ROC's online English language newspaper. After 442 years of rule, Portugal returned control of Macau to China.
