This supplement is to v. 1 of a multi-volume set entitled: Genealogy of the Graves family in America Vol. 1 bears the subtitle: Sketch of the family in England [and] genealogy of the family of Thomas Graves of Hatfield, Mass. / by John Card Graves. Buffalo, N.Y. : Baker, Jones, 1896. xxv, 521 p., [27] leaves of plates. This supplement begins with 12 leaves of additional descendants and relatives of Thomas Graves in New England, New York, Ohio, Illinois and elsewhere. It continues with 105 leaves of genealogical data about ancestors to about 1185 A.D. and descendants to about 1900 of the Graves family in England. This genealogical data shows that many descendants immigrated to Ireland, and some descendants immigrated to Canada, the United States, and elsewhere.

Christopher Thomas (1609-1670) was born in Kent County, England, the son of Tristram Thomas. He immigrated to Virginia in 1635; stayed in Virginia, for a short time, and then settled in Talbot County, Maryland, where he died. His son, Tristram Thomas (1633-1686), married Anne Coursey. They had ten children, ca. 1662-ca. 1682). He died in Talbot County. Descendants listed lived in Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Indiana, and elsewhere.
