This paper summarizes the Explicit Algebraic Stress Model in k-omega form (EASM-ko) and in k-epsilon form (EASM-ke) in the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes code CFL3D. These models have been actively used over the last several years in CFL3D, and have undergone some minor modifications during that time. Details of the equations and method for coding the latest versions of the models are given, and numerous validation cases are presented. This paper serves as a validation archive for these models.Rumsey, Christopher L. and Gatski, Thomas B.Langley Research CenterK-EPSILON TURBULENCE MODEL; K-OMEGA TURBULENCE MODEL; COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS; TURBULENT FLOW; SEPARATED FLOW; PROGRAM VERIFICATION (COMPUTERS); CODING; COMPUTER PROGRAMMING; APPLICATIONS PROGRAMS (COMPUTERS); NAVIER-STOKES EQUATION

This book presents recent progress in the application of RANS turbulence models based on the Reynolds stress transport equations. A variety of models has been implemented by different groups into different flow solvers and applied to external as well as to turbo machinery flows. Comparisons between the models allow an assessment of their performance in different flow conditions. The results demonstrate the general applicability of differential Reynolds stress models to separating flows in industrial aerodynamics.

Based on papers from the 2004 NASA/ONR Circulation Control Workshop, this collection is an invaluable, one-of-a-kind resource on the state of the art in circulation control technologies and applications. Filling the information gap between 1986 -- when the last such symposium was held -- and today, it summarizes the applications, experiments, computations and theories related to circulation control, emphasizing fundamental physics, systems analysis and applied research. The papers presented cover a wide variety of aerodynamic and hydrodynamic applications including naval vehicles, fixed-wing aviation, V/STOL platforms, propulsion systems and ground vehicles. Anyone with interests in applied aerodynamics, fluid mechanics and aircraft design will find this book of particular value, as will those seeking a an up-to-date reference work on circulation control and its many current applications.
