The Run II at the Tevatron will define a new level of precision for QCD studies in hadron collisions. Both collider experiments, CDF and D0, expect to collect up to 8 fb{sup -1} of data in this new run period. The increase in instantaneous luminosity, center-of-mass energy (from 1.8 TeV to 2 TeV) and the improved acceptance of the detectors will allow stringent tests of the Standard Model (SM) predictions in extended regions of jet transverse momentum, P{sub T}{sup jet}, and jet rapidity, Y{sup jet}. The hadronic final states in hadron-hadron collisions are characterized by the presence of soft contributions (the so-called underlying event) from initial-state gluon radiation and multiple parton interactions between remnants, in addition to the jets of hadrons originated by the hard interaction. A proper comparison with pQCD predictions at the parton level requires an adequate modeling of these soft contributions which become important at low P{sub T}{sup jet}. In this letter, a review of some of the most important QCD results from Run II is presented.

The RunII physics program at the Tevatron started in spring 2001 with protons and antiprotons colliding at an energy of {radical}s = 1.96 TeV. More than 1 fb{sup -1} of data have been collected by both the CDF and D0 experiments. In this contribution, some of the new QCD results are presented.

We report on a measurement of the inclusive jet cross section in proton-antiproton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV using data collected by the D0 experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 0.70 fb−1. Detailed studies of correlations between systematic uncertainties in transverse momentum and rapidity are presented, and the cross section measurements are found to be in good agreement with next-to-leading order QCD calculations.

We present a detailed study of the heavy flavor content in the W + jet data sample collected with the CDF detector during the 1992-1995 collider run at Fermilab. Rates of heavy flavor jets, identified via the observation of secondary vertices or semileptonic decays of b and c quarks, are in good agreement with a standard model simulation including production of the top quark. An exception is the number of events in which a single jet has both a secondary vertex and a semileptonic decay tag. In the W + 2,3 jet data, we expect 4.4 " 0.6 and we find 13 such events. The kinematic properties of this small sample of events are statistically difficult to reconcile with the simulation of standard model processes.

The production properties of jets in W events have been measured using (square root)s = 1.8 TeV pp collisions at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. Experimental results from several CDF and D0 analyses are compared to leading-order and next-to-leading-order QCD predictions.

An overview of Run I jet physics at the p{bar p} Fermilab Tevatron Collider with a particular emphasis on inclusive jet cross section measurements is given. The impact of these studies on PDFs constrain from global fits is underlined. Preliminary results on inclusive jet and di-jet mass cross section measurements in Run II are then summarized.

Recent analyses by the CDF and D0 Collaborations of jet data produced in p{bar p} collisions at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider are presented. These include new studies of the inclusive jet production cross section, a measurement of the strong coupling constant, the first measurement of subjet multiplicity of quark and gluon jets, examination of ratios of multijet cross sections and their implications for choice of renormalization scale, and a study of charged jet evolution and energy flow in the underlying event. The results are compared to theoretical predictions.
