As a religious and cultural minority in Turkey, the Alevis have suffered a long history of persecution and discrimination. Teacher identity is shaped by recognition or its absence, often by misrecognition of others. In The Experience of Injustice, the French philosopher Emmanuel Renault opens an important new chapter in critical theory.
