Anjali Kumar, a pragmatic lawyer for Google, was part of a rapidly growing population in America: highly spiritual but religiously uncommitted. But when her daughter was born, she became compelled to find God -- or at least some kind of enlightenment. Convinced that traditional religions were not a fit for her, and knowing that she couldn't simply Google an answer to "What is the meaning of life?", Kumar set out on a spiritual pilgrimage, looking for answers -- and nothing was off limits or too unorthodox. She headed to the mountains of Peru to learn from the shamans, attended the techie haunt of Burning Man, practiced transcendental meditation, convened with angels, and visited saints, goddesses, witches, and faith healers. She even hired a medium to convene with the dead. Kumar's lighthearted story offers a revealing look at the timeless and vexing issue of spirituality in an era when more and more people are walking away from formal religions. Narrated from the open-minded perspective of a spiritual seeker rather than a religious scholar, Kumar offers an honest account of some of the less than mainstream spiritual practices that are followed by millions of people in the world today as she searches for the answers to life's most universal questions: Why are we here? What happens when we die? Is there a God?

The gothic cathedral is a metaphor for spiritual development in Stalking Michelangelo, Finding God. Her story began outside the church, where she was for many years. It takes the reader on a journey around and through the cathedral to the altar, much as she moved from being a lapsed Catholic to formation as a Secular Discalced Carmelite. Stalking is not love is my account of what my family and I have gone through since I left my ex-husband. It details 3 years of us being stalked, from high speed chase to emails. I refuse to live a life of fear, a life that is non-functional. I will not feel guilty about not loving someone. A person has the right to end a relationship if they are not happy, the right not be harassed or stalked. Stalking is not love, it is a crime. It also is one of the hardest crimes to be convicted of. I know because I am currently experiencing this very situation. I receive emails, phone calls and have had the passwords on personal accounts changed because the stalker knows my SSN. The stalker parks his car down the street from my home and sits for hours. When he gets fed up he rings my doorbell angrily and leaves. These are just a few of the things I go through daily. I know there are others who are going through the same thing that I am currently experiencing. Some who are hurt or has lost their lives. Maybe our stories can come together and form a band of women, men, boys, girls, people or simply the stalked and be heard. We need help. Stalking is not love. I have a father that has loved me since birth. My father protected me and kept me safe. I have five brothers that love me dearly. I know what it is like to be truly loved by a man. I have a heavenly father tha tloves me unconditionally and protects me. God is my source and refuge. A person would not hurt what they love.

Stalking =The Legal Definition: (Merriam-Webster)"The act or crime of willfully and repeatedly following or harassing another person in circumstances that would cause a reasonable person to fear injury or death especially because of express or implied threats."The legal definition of this repugnant crime cannot come close to describing the debilitating and often lifelong effects imposed on the victim of stalking. "P.O.W.E.R.: How God Will Disarm Your Stalker and Give You the Power Back!" is the painful story of Dr. Makayla Anderson's six-year struggle to free herself from the grips of a terrifying and dangerous stalker. The story describes her stalker's relenting pursuit of her, crossing several states and delving deep into her digital life as the criminal hacked into to every online account she had. POWER details how the stalker steadily usurps your power and your personal will. The legal definition goes on to say: "Broadly: a crime of engaging in a course of conduct directed at a person that serves no legitimate purpose and seriously alarms, annoys, or intimidates that person." However, while Makayla's story is not meant as a psychological report on the narcissistic mindset of most stalkers, it is also not a study on how to be a victim. It is a step-by-step manual on how to become the victor! The author describes how she prayed often, but she also watched. She stayed prepared and armed to the teeth as well as how she always adorned herself in the full Amour of God. Read "P.O.W.E.R.: How God Will Disarm Your Stalker and Give You the Power Back!" by Dr. Makayla Anderson, and go from victim to victor and allow God to restore you and give you back the POWER!

Jame is a Kencyr. Kencyrs are not native to the planet where they now live. For thirty centuries they have been the weapon that their Three-Faced God has used against the power of the Perimal Darkling. And though they have fought well, the Darkling has come to planet after planet, and the Kencyrs have moved on. Jame knows this as she stumbles out of the hilly, barren Haunted Lands into the city of Tai-tastigon. But she knows little else. She does not remember where she has been or what she has done for the last ten years of her life. Her memory goes back only a week or two¾to finding her home destroyed and all her family dead. In Tai-tastigon Jame begins a new life that seems to be at odds with all that the Kencyrs stand for. Kencyrs are honest and just, but Jame becomes an apprentice to the most renowned thief in the powerful Thieves' Guild. Kencyrs are confirmed monotheists, yet Jame explores the rituals and activities of the thousands of gods, templed and untempled, in this religious center; she even kills a god and then resurrects him. And at the inn, the Res aB'tyrr, where she lives, she finds herself using the most sacred dances of her people, dances she does not even remember learning, for the entertainment and sometimes the destruction of the inn's patrons. Within herself Jame finds power she does not want and doubts she defies her heredity to harbor. She moves through the rich and bloody stew of Tai-tastigon like a hot spice. Her probings, to find herself and to discover what her powers mean to her and her people, combined with influences already at work, very nearly destroy the city. And yet, they bring her face to face with a destiny she must accept. This is the first of several books. At the publisher's request, this title is sold without DRM (Digital Rights Management).

Picturing God demonstrates the importance of confronting our unconscious selves and allowing our images of God " both positive and negative " to surface. Such inner exploration reveals not only relevant insights about ourselves, but also pulls us beyond our private pictures of God toward a truer view of the living God. Picturing God shows us how to explore our unconscious selves and how this spiritual exercise can change the whole of our lives: how we respond to God, how we relate to others, and how we view ourselves.

After losing her fifty-nine-year-old husband to cancer, Dee Brestin wondered if her life was over as well. She ached for God’s comfort but felt utterly alone. Then she discovered a secret that suffering souls through the centuries have learned: She began using psalms and classic hymns to speak the truth to her fretful soul. The truths carried by these timeless songs—many of which Brestin includes in this book—can calm the most fretful spirit. They invite the wounded heart to be quiet before God, to rest like a child in the arms of a loving parent. Each of us must travel down roads of bereavement, betrayal, and broken dreams. The God of All Comfort will help readers find their way into the arms of God. With compassion and spiritual wisdom, Brestin draws on the difficult beauty of her own story as well as her skills as a Bible teacher to offer companionship, comfort, and hope. Data
