The hill State Himachal Pradesh has made tremendous progress since Independence in terms of several indicators of development particularly those relating to education and health. The perspectives of the contributors of different chapters of this book bring out the opportunities that abundantly exist for accelerating economic growth of the State so as to lift it to the near-top rank in the matter of all-round development.
