This work was inspired by the book Sefer Ha?Madah (The Book of Knowledge) by Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon, also known as Maimonides. Sefer Ha?Madah is the first volume of his work Mishneh Torah, which is his monumental codification of the Oral Torah Law. In it, Maimonides explains the Torah's path to true and proper faith-based knowledge. The essential points of our present book, and much of its text, have been taken from Maimonides? holy words in Sefer Ha?Madah, Beyond that, we have added background information and explanations to produce a book meant specifically for those who are, or who want to become, righteous Gentiles in God's eyes. This work by Rabbi Moshe Weiner examines the Torah Law details and foundations of the Biblical Seven Noahide Commandments (the Seven Laws of Noah). The intent of this authorized prayer booklet is to provide personal, family, and communal prayers that are appropriate for Gentiles who follow the Noahide Code. As Noahide communities are growing and organizing around the world, some have been establishing places and times for communal prayers. We hope that this publication will be a useful guide, and the expanded selection of Psalms and verses from the Hebrew Bible is offered as a resource for heartfelt prayers and praises to God. Our hope is that this will bring each participant to a closer, more personal relationship with the Holy One, blessed be He.We have drawn upon the format of the traditional Jewish liturgy (the Orthodox Siddur) to provide guidance for orderly prayers for Noahide synagogues and prayer groups. Wherever appropriate we have used this, while also integrating it with the daily prayers for Noahides that have been recommended by Rabbi Moshe Weiner, the overseeing Rabbi of Ask Noah International, and Rabbi J. Immanuel Schochet o.b.m., as published in the booklet "Prayers, Blessings, Principles of Faith, and Divine Service for Noahides" (7th Edition). Care has been taken that the prayers included here do not encroach on the spiritual heritage of the Jewish people, and there is no attempt made to establish additional obligations for Gentiles beyond the Torah-based Noahide Code.This booklet includes prayers that can be said in connection with births or the passing of loved ones. Psalms and prayers have also been added that can be said during the months of Elul and Tishrei, and on Rosh Hashanah - the annual Day of Judgment for all people.
