Issue 07 Jan-Feb-Mar 2016 Assessment Of Irregularities-Bursts And Catastrophic Changes In Compressor Units A.M. Pashayev, A.Kh. Janahmadov, N.G. Javadov, M.Y. Javadov The paper assesses the type of irregularities of type bursts and disastrous wear during operation of the tested CU equipment. Using the flicker-noise spectroscopy (FNS), which is used to estimated the parameters of the singular component of the power spectrum of the signal and find significant changes in the dimensionless parameters of unsteadiness providing an indication of the approaching moments of a catastrophic deterioration of the equipment. Mineral Composition And Textural-Structural Peculiarities Of Ore, And Mineral Formation Stage Of The Gedabey Gold-Copper Deposit (Lesser Caucasus) M. Aliyev, G. Huseynov The mineral composition and textural and structural characteristics of ores are studied, also the phases and stages of mineralization, which are an important source of information on the conditions of formation of the deposit, time allocation of gold and its spatial association with certain mineral assemblages and associations. Consideration of these issues can come to an understanding of the factors behind the differences in the scale and extent of gold deposits of various types, as well as to form a mineralogical search features gold-bearing mineralization. Development Of Decision-Making Algorithm On Efficiency Of Operators And Traffic Controllers Of Air Transport Based On Their Psycho-Physiological Conditions And Productivities R.M. Jafarzade, T.R. Jafarzade By processing the data on the human-operator active performance with respect to their psycho-physiological conditions and productivities in the human-machine systems, we developed the algorithm for the possibilities of further execution of their (operator) duties in the incomplete and unclear initial data. Using fuzzy clustering and the interval fuzzy sets of the second type, and the coordinated assessment of expert opinions on the binary relationship of objects from the class with recommendations on the further implementation of their activities, we obtained the individual assessment of the alternative recommendations for each of the tested objects from the set of objects. The calculation for the experimental data is provided. The proposed approach can be used for the adaptive selection of recommendations on the continuation of duties of air operators and air traffic controllers by taking into account the dynamic of changes of their psycho-physiological states and productivities. Management Of Portfolio Of Securities On The Basis Of Minimization Of The Conditional Expected Losses S.M. Javadova On the basis of a method of empirical averages for the general problem of stochastic programming, convergence of the solution of an approximating task to the solution of a problem of conditional minimization of the expected losses when forming an investment portfolio is proved. Numerical calculations on a concrete example of two joint stock companies are received by means of the program of linear programming in MATLAB system.

Issue 11 January-February-March 2017 Studying On Stability Of Piezoelectric Actuators Of Initial Alignment System Accelerometers A.M. Pashayev, T.I. Karimli, V.A. Neymatov The article investigates the servo actuator system of the initial alignment of the piezoelectric accelerometers in automatic operational mode, which eliminates the parasitic transverse sensitivity. There were developed the transfer functions of the piezoelectric drive of the turntable, built and performed a simulation modeling. The resulting oscilloscopes of the simulation model confirm the reliability of the proposed calculation method for the position regulation parameters, to ensure the necessary nature of the transition process. Phenomenological Approach In Decision-Making To Develop Oil-Gas Deposits T.Sh. Salavatov The network of oil and gas fields represents interconnected and interacting subsystems, and elements, such as layer, seam, well (production and injection), gas distribution network (gas lift), collection and transportation network for product distribution, distribution and injection of water into reservoir (pressure maintenance). Development Of Optimal Regimes Of Cooling For Plastic Parts Of Thermosets D.A. Kerimov, N.A. Hasanov The authors examines the thermo-strained state of plastic parts of oilfield equipment made of thermosetting materials. It shows that cooling of plastic parts and their practical management help to manufacture higher quality items under working conditions. Authors analytically solved the heat equation as physical phenomenon of constructional plastic parts at compressing and proposed the optimal manufacturing regimes.

ISBN: 0429974035

Widely recognized as a groundbreaking text, The New Urban Sociology is a broad and expert introduction to urban sociology that is both relevant and accessible to the student. A thought leader in the field, the book is organized around an integrated paradigm (the sociospatial perspective) which considers the role played by social factors such as race, class, gender, lifestyle, economics, culture, and politics on the development of metropolitan areas. Emphasizing the importance of space to social life and real estate to urban development, the book integrates social, ecological and political economy perspectives and research through a fresh theoretical approach. With its unique perspective, concise history of urban life, clear summary of urban social theory, and attention to the impact of culture on urban development, this book gives students a cohesive conceptual framework for understanding cities and urban life. In this thoroughly revised 5th edition, authors Mark Gottdiener, Ray Hutchison, and Michael T. Ryan offer expanded discussions of created cultures, gentrification, and urban tourism, and have incorporated the most recent work in the field throughout the text. The New Urban Sociology is a necessity for all courses on the subject.

Theories of Sexual Offending

Theories of Sexual Offending

Release: 2006-02-22
Genre: Psychology
ISBN: 047003288X

This comprehensive text provides an up-to-date review and critique of current theorising about sexual offending. It presents the key ideas underpinning each theory in a clear and accessible manner. Theories are rigorously tested and evaluated, and their merits are examined from both a research and a clinical point of view. Importantly, the emphasis is on providing clear links between theory and practice, and the clinical implications of the different theories and perspectives are explicitly discussed. In addition, a number of new ideas about the aetiology of sexual offending are presented. Theories of Sexual Offending is one of the few books to draw all of the disparate strands of theorising together, and is the only one to clearly link theory to practice. It will be a valuable resource for any professional working with sexual offenders, such as clinical and forensic psychologists, psychiatrists, probation officers and social workers. It will also be of interest to students of forensic and clinical psychology.

Microbial relationships with all life forms can be as free living, symbiotic or pathogenic. Human beings harbor 10 times more microbial cells than their own. Bacteria are found on the skin surface, in the gut and other body parts. Bacteria causing diseases are the most worrisome. Most of the infectious diseases are caused by bacterial pathogens with an ability to form biofilm. Bacteria within the biofilm are up to 1000 times more resistant to antibiotics. This has taken a more serious turn with the evolution of multiple drug resistant bacteria. Health Departments are making efforts to reduce high mortality and morbidity in man caused by them. Bacterial Quorum sensing (QS), a cell density dependent phenomenon is responsible for a wide range of expressions such as pathogenesis, biofilm formation, competence, sporulation, nitrogen fixation, etc. Majority of these organisms that are important for medical, agriculture, aquaculture, water treatment and remediation, archaeological departments are: Aeromonas, Acinetobacter, Bacillus, Clostridia, Enterococcus, Pseudomonas, Vibrio and Yersinia spp. Biosensors and models have been developed to detect QS systems. Strategies for inhibiting QS system through natural and synthetic compounds have been presented here. The biotechnological applications of QS inhibitors (QSIs) in diverse areas have also been dealt with. Although QSIs do not affect growth and are less likely to impose selective pressure on bacteria, however, a few reports have raised doubts on the fate of QSIs. This book addresses a few questions. Will bacteria develop mechanisms to evade QSIs? Are we watching yet another defeat at the hands of bacteria? Or will we be acting intelligently and survive the onslaughts of this Never Ending battle?
