Most Christians have no trouble believing that the work of grace by faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of our redemption. Why then should it be difficult to also believe that the Holy Spirit of God, the third person of the Trinity, desires earnestly to hold our hands and lead us to be established in the salvation that we have received. It shouldn't be hard! As water is life to the human body, so the Holy Spirit gives life to the spirit of man. When a man is denied access to water long enough he dies. If a lush garden is deprived of water substantially, it shrivels, dries up and dies. The Holy Spirit is the living water of life to the regenerated spirit of the believer. We believe by the Word of God that the Father is forever on the throne and that Christ our mediator is set at His right hand on high. But the Holy Ghost is on the earth, sent here to both seal and take residence in every one that is born again, to represent Jesus and to perpetuate the Kingdom of our Lord through the Church. He is not self-conceited; neither will He seek to draw attention to Himself. His job through us is to emphasize and proclaim the glorified Son of God, to dispense Spiritual gifts, and to prepare the living Church as a bride filled with the fullness of God and one victoriously ready to meet the bridegroom at His arrival. The Holy Spirit of God; the Ruack Hakodesh is the Father's love seal over us for His Son!
