Presenting the Truths of the Bible in a Contemporary, Engaging Style With over 300 Inspirational Rhymes The author, Simon Siewsaran, is the Founder and Senior Pastor of the Everlasting Gospel Church (established in 1997), a vibrant community ministry, located at Enterprise, Trinidad. Pastor Siewsaran is also the host of "Don't Give Up," a popular radio broadcast that began in 2001 and is heard throughout Trinidad & Tobago and the southern Caribbean. His early years in ministry were primarily among delinquent youths, including drug addicts, and during this time was himself the target of numerous molestations from fellow villagers. Yet signs and wonders continue to follow this servant of God who has impacted thousands of lives in honour of the Kingdom. His effervescent, lyrical style of preaching endears him to both young and old; and his anointed ministry extends beyond his pastoral duties, most notably as the President of "Touch T&T Ministries," a para-church organization that conducts national events, including crusades, concerts and prayer assemblies. Pastor Siewsaran's missionary trips include the Holy Land - three occasions - Egypt, England, Holland, USA and the Caribbean islands of Antigua, Barbados and St. Lucia. In 1997 he received the title of Jerusalem Pilgrim from Israel's Ministry of Tourism. He is the husband of Johanna and the father of two daughters, Victoria Sarah and Gloria Elizabeth.

A mesmerizing collection from the US Poet Laureate whose work is “as intense and elliptical as [Emily] Dickinson, as buoyant and rueful as [Robert] Frost” (J. D. McClatchy, American Poet). In granting the prestigious Ruth Lilly Prize to Kay Ryan, Poetry magazine editor Christian Wiman wrote that “[she] can take any subject and make it her own. Her poems—which combine extreme concision and formal expertise with broad subjects and deep feeling—could never be mistaken for anyone else’s. Her work has the kind of singularity and sustained integrity that are very, very rare.” Winner of the Pulitzer Prize, Kay Ryan’s poems are “Fabergé eggs, tiny, ingenious devices that inevitably conceal some hidden wonder.” The Niagara River is full of such hidden gems. Bafflingly effective, the poems in this collection seem too brief and blithe to pack so much wallop. Their singular music makes it clear why her poetry has been featured everywhere from the Sunday funnies to New York subways to plaques at the zoo to the pages of The New Yorker and The Paris Review (Salon). “Empathic and wryly unforgiving of the human condition, the poems [in The Niagara River] are equal parts pith and punch. The effect is bracing.” —Publishers Weekly

Back to the sea, someone said, and many agreed, so they went. Forsaking the land, they stepped cautiously into the waters, like newborns opening their eyes to peer at the world for the first time. What they found was a world that itself, seemed to be alive--shifting and swaying like some gigantic animal. And it was here they found their new home among the rocks and coral, the fish and fauna. Flowing through the waters veins, they quickly became woven into the seas intricate pattern. But they never forgot those who had stayed behind. And they longed, one day, to be with them. Such gorgeous imagery is affecting and evocative... -Clarion Forward Reviews A slim but powerful debut collection of poetry... -Kirkus Reviews

"A graceful, attentive, and beautiful debut." --George Saunders "Gorgeous...Lifelines has everything you'd want in a book." --Cosmopolitan Named a Best Book of the Summer by O Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Nylon, and the Minneapolis Star-Tribune For fans of Meg Wolitzer and Maggie Shipstead: a sweeping debut novel following an American artist who returns to Germany--where she fell in love and had a child decades earlier--to confront her past at her former mother-in-law's funeral. It's 1971 when Louise leaves Oregon for D sseldorf, a city grappling with its nation's horrific recent history, to study art. Soon she's embroiled in a scene dramatically different from the one at home, thanks in large part to Dieter, a mercurial musician. Their romance ignites quickly, but life gets in the way: an unplanned pregnancy, hasty marriage, the tense balance of their creative ambitions, and--finally, fatally--a family secret that shatters Dieter, and drives Louise home. But in 2008 she's headed to Dieter's mother's funeral. She never returned to Germany, and has since remarried, had another daughter, and built a life in Oregon. As she flies into the heart of her past, she reckons with the choices she made, and the ones she didn't, just as her family--current and former--must consider how Louise's life has shaped their own, for better and for worse. Exquisitely balanced, expansive yet wonderfully intimate, Lifelines explores the indelible ties of family; the shape art, history, and nationality give to our lives; and the ways in which we are forever evolving, with each step we take, with each turn of the Earth.

Lifelines Lovelines is a collection of poetry that chiefly entertains and unexpectedly moves the soul. From witty to winsome, Jim's poems provide a look at life through eyes of one who speaks the truth as he sees it. His rhythmic musings can catch you off-guard with subjects ranging from pessimism to love, determination to agnosticism, and from elephants to prunes as the afterlife of plums. Nothing is more stirring, however, than the tender love lines addressed to his beloved, when "Three Dots Upon An Envelope" become a symbol of the many joys they have known. Pride and prejudice have never been more exposed as a thief of peace than in "New Yorkers May Roam Far Afield." and love, fidelity and faith overcome all obstacles to marital happiness in "When You Are Six And Forty." Lovelines Lifelines helps us reflect on life and other things we seldom pause to consider. Refreshing and thought-provoking, this little book will warm your heart and leave you wanting more.
