(3) The chapter on Prince Edward Island in, my Acadian Geology, Second Edition, 1868, in which a summary is given of what was previously known, with some additional facts. (4) Specimens collected by Mr. J. W. Taylor, of Alberton, at Gallas Point, in the course of an expl'oration undertaken in search of coal.
