In the subhumid region are embraced parts of certain states, namely: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Texas. The following condensed tables present the number of persons who irrigate their farms, aggregating 52, 584; the acres irrigated, aggregating 416; the average size of irrigated farms for the regions treated, 68 acres.
