The ordinary receipts for the year were (or per cent.) more than those of the preceding year, and (or per cent.) more than the estimates therefor. The expenditures and receipts by fiscal quarters, and the increase or decrease therein as compared with the corresponding quarters of 1873 - 774 and 1874 are shown by Table 4 which accompanies the report of the Third Assistant postmaster-general.
