General description of the collection: The Report After Action Against Enemy Conducted by the 8th Infantry Division consists of a report created by the Headquarters, 8th Infantry Division, that describes United States (US) troop movements and action against the German troops in France for the months of July, August and September, 1944. The report is divided into month long sections, each of which contains written text detailing the accounts of infantry, artillery, civil affairs, and supply. All three volumes contain detailed maps and overlays showing troop movement and distribution.
