The duties of supervisors, unless otherwise specially ordered by the Commissioner of Indian Affairs, shall be the supervision of Indian schools, reservations, and allotted areas, advising with superintendents in regard thereto, and reporting for investigation or consideration such mat ters coming to their knowledge as may require investiga tion or administrative action.
